Download the full package from the first post in this thread. Unzip to a folder and run the .exe file. Press F1 in the application to get to the on-line documentation. That will get you started.

I tried installing my d64 version of Golden Axe on carousel 1.3.2 and it works fine. In my case I had to check the "accurate disk" option otherwise it crashes on loading. Instead, I have found that all games run slightly faster than normal. For information I have set a "C64 Pal" but also changing to "NTSC" the games run the same way. Could you send me your golden Axe.vsf.gz please, it still crashes to the READY screen on v1.3.2, can you check that the games runs in PCUv1.3.1 for me please or if your on a older version if you have not installed v1.3.1 yet, Thanks.

Hi Nick, of course I can pass you my file, indeed I do more, I have prepared a self-extracting .exe file with 7zip that contains all the complete package exported from PCU Game Manager, so whoever wants to can download and import it to their database if there is no It has. I have tested it on both 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 I hope it works for you too! Only problem, the description is in Italian, sorry! Golden Axe.exe (483.8 KB)

I have released another version with some nice features: 1.3.0- Adds automatic translation of the description field. Use the translate button next to the description fields to translate a text from one language to the others.
- Adds configuration of REU in the system options.
- Adds menu option to convert all screenshots to 32-bit color depth so that they are rendered properly by the PCU game list selector.
- Adds menu opton to delete the games for the current view only. An option to create a backup before deleting is available.
- Only the empty fields for the current game is pre-selected when opening the scraper dialog. This makes it a bit easier to fetch only missing information from different scraper sites.
- The game list information entries from PCU are not deleted when deleting all games or all games for a specific view. The list information entries are identified by the text "THEC64" in the title. If you want to delete them you can delete them one by one.
Please try it out and post here if you find any problems or bugs. I'm pretty pleased with the translation function, it seems to be quite good (it uses built-in functions from script.google.com).

Oh yes, you are great. Now it will be much easier for me to translate the descriptions into Italian, before I had to manually operate with Google Translate. I just tested the translation function and found the other options you added under "tools" and they are really good! If I find any bugs I will report them to you immediately. thank you very much! PS: If I had known that you included an option to batch convert all 32bit images, I would have saved a lot of time and avoided doing it by hand one by one! I'm joking, obviously

Hi,
actually my theC64 is updated to 1.5.1 and this is my first post :-) Is there a guide on how to add d81 images correctly to the game manager (latest version) so it works with PCU 1.3.1?
Every time I add a d81 directly to the game manager and whwn I launch the game on theC64, PCU completly freezes, no reaction on the screen and joystick aswell so I have to turn theC64 off and on again. It must be something general because all games I made with the Game manager based on a d81 image freezes.
This d81 images doesn't need acurate disk and they are working perfectly when I choose them directly with the usb loader or in classic mode with media access.
greetings, Anthony

They are all the same I've checked the tsg files, If you look at my post about Vic20 games there's a download link to the games with all the files,Is it because I've created them and manually copied the files over View AttachmentIn Popeye you have added "-" in the description, the64 thinks its a command, you have to remove them and make the description one long sentence and no returns(new line). Like.... D:en:Features most things and visual effects from the Arcade (except skulls and popeye turning red) Extra life at 20,000 points !! Difficulty is set fairly easy at the moment but ramps up quickly once you pass the first 3 stages, (so you should be able to complete all 3 stages and observe the final cut-scene). or D:en:Features most things and visual effects from the Arcade - (except skulls....
and D:en:Features most things and visual effects from the Arcade - (except skulls.... The carousel thinks you executing a command inside the .tsg(The64 Set Game) file like -truedrive, `-` minus is a flag or switch, Would there be a way for the PCU Game Manager to ask you to remove them if a user has added them to the description and will not allow you to save the game until you do, they completely mess up the game and makes the game have the wrong cover(look above), anyway thanks for what you have done so far, PCU Game Manager is brilliant .. its exactly what I wanted..

Hi. Really pleased with Game Manager. One thing for me though, is that no version of the Game Manager user interface fits the screen in Windows - the bottom of the Game Manager interface is off screen - and I'm unable to move it around to fit. Anyone else have this issue?

Lantzelot has to change the size of the app so it fits properly on lower resolutions, it should be able to fit on a basic screen size of 1024x768, then it will have no problem fitting on any size above that.

Ok, I designed it for a minimum height of 800 pixels... I need to resize the joystick configs and some other things to support a smaller resolution. The width will also be a problem with such a small resolution. I dont want to hide things behind tabs etc. 1366x768 can perhaps be a minimum I can try to resize the UI for.

Hi lantzelot, every now and then I show up with a request . This time it is quite trivial and not strictly functional but could you insert a fixed number of .log files generated by the app, for example 3? Since I use it practically every day, I have a log file generated every 24h and it would be convenient for the oldest to be deleted automatically........thanks!

can you add dutch to translation There is no support for dutch language in the firmware, so the carousel doesn’t support it. The game tool can generate a translation, but you would have to add it to one of the existing description fields and choose that language in the firmware for it to show up. I can perhaps add a feature to translate to a different language but add it to an existing field.

can you add dutch to translation I Implemented it like this: in this way you can select any language (according to ISO 639-1) and it will replace the text for the english translation field. It's the best I can do I think.

lantzelot, can you insert the possibility to edit the "Favorites" folder as can be done for the others already present? I would like to rename "Favorites" in Italian to read "Preferiti"..........thanks Obviously I can do it manually once the folders have been exported, directly on the pendrive, but if PCU Game Manager directly exported the renamed folder it would be more convenient!

Post by megabit on Feb 13, 2021 17:47:12 GMT
In reference to my last post, I would like to clarify that I have already replaced the word "Favorites" with "Preferiti" even in the appropriate scripts, but if you cannot insert this option to prevent someone from accidentally
changing the "Favorites" folder without modifying even the scripts, no problems!

When I import any of the Epyx Game series (i.e. Summer Games II, Winter Games, World Games, etc.) into the tool with the resources from the RetroGames carousel (e.g. EPYX-GAMES-ntsc-rgl-jp2-1.tsg; EPYX-GAMES-ntsc-rgl-jp2.crt.gz), the parameter in the TSG/CJM file which specifies which title in the multi-cartridge image to load gets discarded:
T:Summer Games II X:64,ntsc,sid6581 D:en:Experience the excitement and realism of eight events: cycling, equestrian, fencing, high jump, javelin, kayaking, rowing and triple jump. Practice each event first to sharpen your skills, then choose your name, your country to represent and let the games begin. Try to win gold in every event, second place gets silver and third gets bronze. . . . F:games/EPYX-GAMES-ntsc-rgl-jp2.crt.gz I:1 <------ This field specifies which software title in the multi-cart image to load C:covers/SUMMER-GAMES-II-cover.png G:screens/SUMMER-GAMES-II-01.png G:screens/SUMMER-GAMES-II-02.png J:2*:JU,JD,JL,JR,JF,JF,JF,EN,EN,,,,JF J:1:JU,JD,JL,JR,JF,JF,JF,EN,EN,,,,JF
As described in this forum thread, the "I" parameter in the TSG/CJM file is used by the Carousel to load the proper game from the multi-cart. It would be a welcome feature enhancement if the PCU Game Manager supported the management of the "I" field (i.e. editing/importing/exporting).

This will not really work because apparently the cartridge in use is a hacked cartridge specifically for this use case. You can not use this with other cartridges at all.

I believe you are correct; that said, I still would like to see support added for the "I" parameter (there are more games contained within that Epyx multicart than the four revealed by Retrogames Ltd). Hopefully support for the "I" parameter will inspire the creation of more multi-carts hacked just like the Epyx one.

I finished a new version: 1.4.0This is what's new: - Re-designed the UI to be able to support smaller screen resolutions. If the height of the window is below 800 pixels a scrollbar will appear for the joystick and system settings area. A width of 1300 pixels is required to be able to see everything.
- Support for undo/redo in all text fields. Each field has it's own history.
- All text fields in the UI have a right-click popup menu with copy/cut/paste/undo/redo.
- All "-" characters in the description fields are removed when editing or exporting games since those can mess things up for the carousel.
- The description fields tab text is shown in bold when a description for a specific language is available.
- Support for custom translations (almost any ISO 639-1 language). The custom translation will always be added to the english description field.
- Maximum number of log files kept on disk has been reduced from 5 to 3.
- Better error handling when importing games, if an info file cannot be read properly it will show in the import dialog.

Hi lantzelot, I believe I have found a bug in the latest version of PCU Game Manager. If I use the "Paste" command to copy the description of a game from an external site to the ones you have entered on the app, it is deleted as
soon as I change the language card or do other operations on the app. If instead I use the classic Win10 "CTRL-V" combination everything stays in place.
