PCUAE 3.1.0 is the next version thats coming, it been built from the ground up so its files and folders have changed. Just changed PCUAE folder structure, looks like everything is working now... Cause I reorganised the folders, I had to edit every script to so all the commands in them pointed to the right place, if one wrong then something will not work, it took a few days to do... but I done most of it now, THEC64 part is working now, need to test it on THEA500 Mini next. (edited) I added txt files to in different places, as little notes so to help you use PCUAE. Updated folders, Games folder on the root has changed to PCUAE_THEC64_Carousel_Games so you know its for THEC64 only and not for THEA500. Fixed THEC64 Media Access and USB File Loader too... USB File Loader in TheCarousel Media Access I glad USB File Loader is working now, it has not for a long time... so I think everything is work on THEC64 PCUAE Mode now, just need to check the network is working and its modes and its done. (edited) In the video you can see its running the network but not finding the network adapter plugged in, I need to refresh its cache and then it should find it and give it a IP address.

There is no log file generated in this version of PCUAE cause its based on a older version that never had it and wanted to keep it the way it is so everything worked and it didn't have a problem with it.

The main version will have logging and after it run it, it will be killed so you can see the files in the USB File Loader, at the moment it still can not see the files in the USB File Loader but it works OK in the main version of PCUAE(3.1.0) so can see the files in the USB File Loader and Media Access as well now, you can see its pictures above... The version I released is just a beta and a test to see if it works OK on other (THEC64)machines, its not for THEA500 Mini, it will not work on it, it only has the files for THEC64 only> If I do not get any error post from you then I know its working OK, well it should do what it meant to do now and should not have a problem loading the carousel(you might every now and then get a black screen when its loads it but not frequently so it will be very rare, if you do then just reload the carousel again), it had a file in it that was overmounting the carousel automatically and stopping it from working properly, I only noticed it cause it loaded THEC64 TheCarousel 1.3.2 and not TheCarousel v1.6.1 so was loading the wrong carousel and if you reset the carousel it would error out and show error about can not find its shaders. I found the file when I change the folder (PCUAE export folder)`Option_Menu_Files` and its `bin` folder then realised it was a file in that folder that was doing it, it had the64 binary in it for some reason, probably added by accident(came from Yaft for THEA500 Mini, so was not my fault it was in there, jj0 added by accident, do not know why) I removed it and it loaded the carousel properly then, but would of not found it if I did not start rebuilding PCUAE to begin with... PCUAE file structure will look different in the main version(PCUAE 3.1.0) too(look at pictures above), I thought it was about time I reorganised it and removed files and folders it does not need no more so will now find most files now in the .options folder, I have moved PCUAE Mode now as well from options to the Modes folder and the main Modes are no longer in the options folder no more(like: /mnt/Carousel_Games/Options/VICE_Mode) and overmount to them, they have now been removed so all Modes are now in the Modes folder only and are not mounted to anywhere else. I have now removed the folder `Carousel _Games` too, the Games folder on the root of the USB Drive will have a new name so you know its for THEC64 Carousel only and not for THEA500, it will be called `PCUAE_THEC64_Carousel_Games` look at the pictures above for info, but still not sure about the name yet, I keep you posted.

Great stuff. Knew you were working hard on it because saw a video you posted on it a few days ago. I'm still using a rather old version of Project Carousel well before Game Manager or any other platform emulation besides the Vic20 was able to be done with it. I've been waiting for your latest rendition. Can't wait to try out Amiga and other retro hardware emulation running on the mini, and the Maxi once I pick another one up.

but if you run the fake update it will update Autoboot script for you, but it might see its name so might not work so just update it like if you where installing it for the first time.

Have had a look and on first boot I could not access the mode changer, the screen went black and then back to the carousel. I then changed the carousel from 1.05 to 1.61 and I can now access the mode changer. Carousel changer seem's to work good. First mode I tried was amiga mode but tiny launcher will not boot any whdload games, keeps throwing the error "object not found C:CD failed returncode 20" The mode change and carousel changer seem very slow compared to the earlier 1.8.5bf10 version.
Only tested on my Maxi but I have left it there for now mate.

Got TheCarousel working on THEC64, it was loading the hack for Amora to load on THEC64 Mini so was stopping it working, it could not load its menu.wav file for some reason so stopping the carousel from running...

Just a thought but would it be possible to split the builds for the mini, maxi and A500 mini? It would be easier to track down bugs and each build would not be full off unneeded files that are possibly slowing everything down to an very slow speed. For the maxi PCUAE 1.8.5bf10 it only needs online mode adding to finish it and personally for me the later beta build based around this did not need all the music added to the loading screens which possibly makes it so slow loading at the moment. For the mini PCUAEv1.9.2b7 works very well with vic 20 mode and even goes on line, it does not really need retroarch or amiga mode enabled as it is just to far to slow running them. Maybe just adding functionality for the ntsc mini? Once these are out of the way and don't need fixing anymore it would then leave you free to concentrate on a separate build for the A500 mini and to add Amiga online etc. ( personally wouldn't add this to the C64 build) , these are just my thoughts but ultimately this is your baby.

OK sounds good, I will try to do that, but when I make it load faster I have to watch out for clashes with other scripts so like the sound script that loads up before the carousel, I ended up making it faster and then the sound loaded after the carousel loaded and stopped it loading the carousel, the carousel was loading quicker so the sound script was loading to slow or starting at the wrong point cause its moved now the carousel is loading faster.
It mounts the wav file before the carousel loads up so it can load the right wav file for each Carousel Gamelist, so Favourites Gamelist use Mix 1 wav and 0 to G Gamelist uses Mix 2 wav and so on so have to watch what I am doing in PCUAE cause each script relies on another scripts, I think of them as like train tracks with each script beaning a switch point like on a track so it can go down one or another and some scripts run side by side too.

Second, amiga mode seems work fine, but I don't know how to use mouse. Works any mouse on It?

I plain to try to get ScummVM to work as a Mode too, I hope it works but never tried it on THEC64(it works on THEA500), RA 1.7.0 does have its core: scummvm_libretro.so but I can try and use the binary in Pandory so it has its own menu, but it might not work on THEC64. ADF Mode: OK and working(THEC64/THEA500), you will need AMIGA Mode for this to work on THEC64. ScummVM Mode: Not yet added. Atari ST Mode: Not yet added. Hi friend, C64 Carrusel works perfect, the only thing I've seen it's the joystick port can't be changed with joystick button menu + A or B, but we can change on PCUAE Manager, ok About modes, working but no one works with C64 joystick either mouse, can't try the modes then. And Vice mode goes to C64 screen, thanks !

Had a look again today and can confirm the carousel works good on the maxi but the one bug I found is that hot swapping joyports caused a reboot. Amiga mode - option 1 - standard Amiga mode- tiny launcher still does not work and throws back error codes (try 1943 for example). Does Tiny launcher need a different Amiga mode to work? There are also various different Amiga modes in the options menu of which I am unsure what does what? Removal of the autoboot script is still broken and I had to use the removal tool to clean the firmware. Have left it there for now and thanks for the updates.
