I am going to upload a image file called PCUAE-FIX.img, its
here (its in PCU Zipped folder)it for PCUAE and has it included on it but when you copy the image to your USB Stick it fixes it and THEC64 is able to see the USB Drive, you will need Win32 Disk imager in the same folder and install it then use it to copy the image to your USB Stick, Its a copy of my USB Stick that works in my THEVIC20, the size of the USB Stick will be about 1.86 GB then cause thats the size of my USB Stick, if you don't want to use PCUAE you can just delete the files on it, if you want to add more space to your USB Stick now its working, you have to use a program that can make the partition bigger like Gpart on Linux or Mini Tools Partition Wizard or some kind of app that that.
Or this might help...
Got my USB Stick 2 GB working with PCUAE...
, Make sure your USB Stick is not marked bootable, PCUAE will not work on bootable USB Sticks/SD Cards, that means if you used it to boot a OS or make a Bootable USB Stick with it, you have to unmark it as bootable first to be able to use it with PCUAE.
You can use Linux to sort it out..
Type:
fdisk -ul /dev/sda
You will see something like this.. This is my 2GB USB Stick
Disk /dev/sda: 2002 MB, 2002780160 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 7640 cylinders, total 3911680 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Device-----Boot---Start------End------Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 8064 3911679 1951808 e Win95 FAT16 (LBA)
See where it say Boot it has a star meaning it marked as bootable
Now Type...
fdisk /dev/sda
Now Type m(Press Enter)
you will see..
Command (m for help): m
Command Action
a toggle a bootable flag
b edit bsd disklabel
c toggle the dos compatibility flag
d delete a partition
l list known partition types
n add a new partition
o create a new empty DOS partition table
p print the partition table
q quit without saving changes
s create a new empty Sun disklabel
t change a partition's system id
u change display/entry units
v verify the partition table
w write table to disk and exit
x extra functionality (experts only)
Now Type a(Press Enter)
and then type 1(Press Enter)
Command (m for help): a
Partition number (1-4): 1
and then type w(Press Enter) to save to the USB Stick, now..
Command (m for help): w
The partition table has been altered.

[ 706.453680] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
[ 706.461488] sda: sda1
Now Type..
fdisk -ul /dev/sda
it now should now be unmarked (star has gone under Boot) as bootable and work with PCU.
