I thought I'd ask although I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Is it possible to install JiffyDOS images/roms into TheC64 Maxi for both the C64 and the disk drive so we can speed up loads for games that require "True Drive Emulation" which can be quite slow.

Yes. It's just a matter of replacing the kernal/disk drive ROM files. If you search on 'jiffy' on the forum you'll find some threads/posts about it.

I did search for JiffyDOS but nothing came up, thats why I asked. I didn't think to just use jiffy. Gonna go do that now. Thanks for the tip. Actually I just noticed the SEARCH function at the top of the page that searches all sub forums. I used the search box for the "TheC64 General" forum only, that is also why I didn't get any hits. Doh!

The information on adding JiffyDOS seems to be for the mini. Are the steps required to accomplish this on the Maxi the same? For example, you have to modify the board to access Linux via the UART, etc?
