Was wondering for a second how Ctrl-N could possibly work but of course when Autoboot is turned off, you can still start PCU manually by initiating a (fake) V99 update from the stick and THEN pressing CTRL-N, right?

yep... I was thinking of changing the shortcuts from CTRL-N and M to CTRL-7 and 8...? I missed 6 so there's would be a gap between the screen numbers. Oh and the people behind the True Blue Mini have been arrested ... thec64community.online/thread/669/team-xecuter-creators-truebluemini-classic2magicNO MORE TRUE BLUE MINI'S, there are defiantly not true blue... All they did was nick peoples work and sell it but been arrested for selling pirate games on there USB Sticks.

I have changed the Autoboot shortcut keys now to CTRL-7 for Enabled and CTRL-8 for Disabled and just had a idea of using the Carousel logo screen to display "Autoboot Enabled" or "Autoboot Disabled" and making the Carousel reload every time you enabled disabled then wouldn't need to make it reboot so you can see if its disabled or enabled, I think it would look good and a nice touch...

I have tried reading multiple times, but have still not found the answer. In the new 1.18 I can not find TheC64 Maxi Game Tool in the Favorites folder. Are there a new, easy way to add or remove games to Favorites? Say I like 5 games in the other folders, are there a fast way to make them appear in the Favorites carousel, or do I have to add them the same way as I do with the other carousels? And again, PCU is a fantastic piece of software!

Each game has its own folder so each game has a folder that named after its TSG file and has its cover, screenshots and game files inside that folder, have a look and you see how I have done it, it makes it easer to add games this way and not having covers, screens and games all in the same folders. I done them like this to prove you can organize the games this way and they still work in the Carousel. You can still have them the way they are in the other games folders, they work both ways.

Hello, why i can in BGS Version for C64 Mini not change the Gamelist with a Button Combo? Like Menue Button and left Fire Button on same Time. Is it only working with a USB Keyboard? The C64 mini has only two USB, one for Joystick and one for USB-Stick. A USB-Hub with keyboard extra, sucks.

I be releasing the next version soon so hopefully that will sort it... Try this...(The Carousel Gamelist Selector should be still running the background) press CTRL and F3 to reload the Carousel, it should then work...?

Ok copy the newer version same issue, i try CTRL+F3 and it reload but it stuck, so i try CTRL+2 to navigate the menu and it WORKS! so i found that the newer version doesn't like italian language on the favourites, i switch the C64 to english and all working fine!!!!

Nice one.. PCU only supports English only now... Its a bug... I noticed it does that if you select French too(the other languages work fine), the Carousel freezes, do not know why, looked in the tsg files and it could be that some of them are missing Author, Composer and that, maybe that freezing the Carousel, I don't know, hope to fix it in the next update but not promising cause I don't know what causing it yet. Just one question for the users of PCU, would you like to be able load the Firmware games, the games would be copied to the USB Flash Drive(like a backup) then PCU would read them and bring them up in a Carousel Gamelist Screen, it would look like you are reading the games from the firmware...? You could use CTRL-0 to load the Firmware games.

I've started preparing for the (hopeful, long-awaited) November release of theC64 here in the US and was thrilled to discover this carousel project! Maybe a stupid question: can the games folders be renamed without harming functionality? For example, I don't need any VIC-20 games, so could I rename that to "Extra" or something else and still be able to access it with the Ctrl+# keys?

Also, is there a list of the games installed in each games folder somewhere? I've so many games to add -- unless they are already in there -- that a list would make figuring out where to put things much easier...

Another quick one. There isn't a tool to load games onto the favourites carousel, will there be instructions on how to do this on a later build? Thanks. Absolutely awesome work There is no tool for you make them with(wish there was) but I will make a video at some point showing how to add a game from the other folders into 0_fav folder, I did contact raxrip(the Creator of THEC64 Maxi Game Tool, he is part of a C64 hacking group called Megastyle and his other handle is Rottery, we all use handles, there called nicknames now, like I do Spannernick, it from the CB radio days in the 80s and what you was called at school, I was called Spanner at school cause I acted like a bit of a tool(idiot).. My Dad's handle was Slowcoach.. ) about organizing them this way in the THEC64 Maxi Game Tool but he was not interest in the Game Tool any more or THEC64 for that matter, probably hacking C64 games or making them now so he is too busy, this is one of the reasons why I said support for THEC64 is dyeing, once they have done stuff on THEC64 in the end they loss interest in the THEC64, its got a very short life span, that cause its a Retro Machine so it almost been around one way or other for almost 40 years. I do wish THEC64 Maxi Game tool was open source( hint.. raxip/rottery.. PLEASE put it on GitHub and preserve it) then we could add other stuff we wanted to it to make it better, maybe like someone out there might be able to add the code to get the tool to change jpegs into png file inside the tool, just because you don't know how don't mean someone else don't know how add it. I am willing to learn, how to if anyone is listening.. If you look at THEC64 Maxi Game tool it a replica of the Carousel so you can use it just like a frontend to load C64 games from VICE on your Windows PC, you can even have it at full screen. Oh I made the keyboard buttons that are used in THEC64 Maxi Game Tool.. Is anyone here thats good at NET by Microsoft on Windows.. ? We could make a THEC64 PCU Game Manager using that and it could have a database built into it so when you add a game it has all the info for it in its database or it learns each time you add a game and remembers its info(One of the ideas I have for a new application, but don't know how to use or code in NET) so it would look abit like the True Blue Mini C64 Game Manager but you can add games to it. Like this...

For example, I don't need any VIC-20 games, so could I rename that to "Extra" or something else and still be able to access it with the Ctrl+# keys? No PCU reads the VIC20 folder, by you changing its name it would stop it from working(stop the shortcut keys to it working) would probably just restart the Carousel, that might a way of disabling the screen if you don't want to use it, I have not tried it or tested it. I made the Carousel Gamelist Screen Favourites, so you can add games you play the most to it, thats why it loads up first, you don't need to add games the way I have in the 0_fav folder you can still add them with the Game Tool if you like but you can't copy TCMGT to the 0_fav folder, but you could copy it to another folder and then make what games you want them copy them into the 0_fav/games folder manually. opss.. just realized why I removed TCMGT from 0_fav folder, it will not work with the games organized that way, it will come up with an error, that why I removed it, I have a idea, I keep you posted, just going to try it first then post back soon...

Right I have done it so you have 2 favgames folders(favgames1 and favgames2) in the 0_fav folder, favgames1 has the games that I added and are organized differently(this loads up by default) and favgames2 that has THEC64 Maxi Game Tool in so you can add games to it using the game tool, you can select one by going to Carousel_Games/Options/CGS_Scripts/Carousel Gamelist Selector.sh and changing GAMESDIR="0_fav/favgames1" to GAMESDIR="0_fav/favgames2" so it load up the other folder with TCMGT in it with the games you have added... Just tested it and it works fine.. You have to add more than 6+ games in favgames2 folder for the Carousel to work or it will crash and will not boot up but I will leave that up to you, what you put in that folder, all I added was the Fav Cover and FIBR. You will see it in the next version. I guess I could do this to the VIC20 folder too so you could load up C64 games in its place if you want me too..?

Thank you very much for this update but please put back the option to change directories without using the keyboard because my mini is far from me when I play and I don't want to add a keyboard just for that...
