Spannernick, what were you hoping to do:
"I will be not reorganizing the games, it too much of a big job for one person and would stop TCMGT working, the games in 0_fav folder will be going back to how they were originally, the only way I would change them is if TCMGT changed the way it adds games and edits them but raxrip is not on here no more, no more work will be done on it, TCMGT is "AS IS" so no support for it and no updates for it."
I actually have tested every game, fixed or replaced broken ones and added more. Mind you the games are set up to use my Logitech F710 controller thou.
Is that of any use to you?

I also think it is right if the FAV folder stays like this. I think many people use the GamesTool to create their own FAV games. This is no longer possible with the renaming as you want to do it. For the other folders you can do it

In PCU I have managed to change directories by using the keyboard and shortcut CTRL+F7 to change folders, the idea came from Gurce's joystick swap.. I got it working on my C64 Keyrah keyboard in THEC64 Maxi PI but need the key names for the TheC64 Maxi keyboard now, You will be able to change the keys in the start.sh file to whatever you like but need to know what the keys are named in evtest but everyone has the same keyboard on the C64 Maxi, that why I am doing it, they properly just called "KEY_CTRL" on the keyrah CTRL is TAB so "KEY_TAB" is my CTRL key, not sure about THEC64 Mini, most users have a c64 Maxi now anyway. There are 2 scripts running at the same time keyboard-gamelist-switcher and buttons-gamelist-switcher so you can still use TheC64 Joystick.

For the other folders you can do it I have now put the games back the way they were before, in the 0_fav folder, I have added BASIC now to the folder too.

I have manged with help from JJ0 to get PCU booting from startup so booting from turn on.. All it does is copy a file from the USB Stick to the int-d folder in etc to tell it to boot from the start.sh file from the USB Stick, you will be able it disable it too by changing the name of startpcu.sh file in Carousel_Games/Options/boot/ folder.. it don't touch any of the files in the firmware, it loads everything from USB Stick so you don't have to run a update now to start it. CTRL+F7 is working fine and can change directories and I have added a CTRL+F5 that makes TheC64 reboot so take you back to Favorites or 0 to G..

Thanks, one problem, the carousel mounts the USB drive inside it, it take control of "/tmp/usbdrive/sda1", cause PCU has to mount it to boot up and mount stuff in its scripts , the file Browser and Media Access can't read from it, Carousel is coming up with "Cannot read USB stick" and in terminal.. "Failed to mount USB stick: err 16" I am looking into away round it at the moment, no luck so far, the only way the Carousel can read it is to unmount "/tmp/usbdrive/sda1 /mnt" but that crashes PCU.
One way is make two sets of shortcut keys, one for unmounting it so you can load from Media Access and the other shortcut to mount it again so you can change CGS.
I might have to release it the way it is, would have to change the code in the Carousel, too not mount "/tmp/usbdrive/sda1 /mnt" just get it to read from "/mnt" instead, you mount it in the script then get the Carousel to read from it but not taking full control of it cause that the problem, only one can mount it, the script or the Carousel, not both.
The Carousel mounts "/tmp/usbdrive/sda1 /mnt" cause the64 file is running in the root file system(Firmware), not on the USB Stick.
When you run PCU from a fake update your not mounting "/tmp/usbdrive/sda1 /mnt" cause it already mounted in the Carousel and you are just restarting the Carousel from within a script, that why it works.

Some News... Got Media Access working.. but File Loader don't but that don't matter, this way you can still play multi disk/tape games on THEC64 Maxi and if you want to play it in the classic way.. , on THEC64 Mini you don't need the File Loader...why, well you can load multi disk/tape games in the Carousel the same way you do it in the File Loader.. cause you can get to the save snapshots from the Carousel (there in Carousel_Games/Options/Saves) you can save a snapshot of disk2 with Vice(that included with TCMGT), you can rename it and then copy it to the save file of the game in the Carousel, and because you have 4 slots you can use one of them and don't need to add disk1 and disk2 to the Carousel, you can add it to the same game on the Carousel.. More about that soon.. I am hopping to include CBM File Browser and FIBR and get the old Carousel working cause it allows you to go to the root of the USB stick and make it acted like a SD2IEC device... Then you be able to run programs from the USB file system not just a image on the USB stick, then the space you have is as big as the USB stick your using.. But when you run the old Carousel v1.0.5 it can for some reason mess up the firmware(but lucky I made my THEC64 Maxi cause it is easy to fix.. , have to re-flash nandb partition again)if you just turn it off, that why I added a shortcut to reboot(CTRL+F5) so it goes back to the new Carousel v1.3.2 then it don't mess it up when you shut it down, the old Carousel don't have a Shutdown option.

Got Media Access and File Loader working now thanks to jj0, so it coming along nicely,, , It will include The first version of the Carousel v1.0.5 from TheC64 Mini... so you can use the FS Emulation Driver in the C64 Emulator and use it like it has a SD2IEC connected to it, you will have access to the whole of the USB Stick(using CBM File Browser and Fibr), on the Carousel v1.3.2 it uses the Disk Emulation Driver in C64 Emulator, you can only see what's in a (Tap/D64/prg)image that attached.

Nice video. Noticed that the part where you play SIDs shows "PAL" in the menu, but the SIDs are running at NTSC speed, so I guess this is the classic case of HDMI 60 HZ output and syncing the emulation to the vblank...
(I know SIDs like Commmando and Thing on a spring by heart - they were constant background music to me in the eighties!)

Would anyone be interested in a shortcut that makes THEC64 Mini/Maxi reboot...? I am just finding out at the moment if anyone wants it, if they don't there's no point putting it in PCU..

Yeah, I'd love a reboot shortcut key, as when I'm testing out experimental mods, half the time I do something stupid and crash the emulator and I'm forced to unplug the power-cord and plug it back in. So a shortcut-key to just kill everything and reboot would make it easier for me to iterate on my attempts

New pic of PCUv1.18, hopefully released in the next couple of days.. A Quick video coming.. Just Added X-Windows Mod and you can now load it by pressing CTRL-F7 and it closes the Carousel then loads XWM... so now on the fly.. don't have to enable it in the start.sh file anymore. It will support XWM but it will not be included, you will have to download it from it post and add it to XWM folder in Options. I had to rewrite all the code so I am finding bugs at the moment that what's holding the release back.

I looked at it and BASIC had no cover and in its tsg file it had the name "cover/", not "covers/" so pointing to the wrong folder so change that and its working here fine, I uploaded to to both BGS and FUGS.
So it should work now.

Yup,4gb Sandisk did the trick! FUGS version now working GREAT! With the "0-G" change. I suspect BGS Version may have same prob, used same Size/Model FD.Will test it again after digging up good FD.
