New version coming some time today, PCU v1.16, I have updated Fake Update Gamelist Switcher to included VIC-20 CGS and I noticed the PCU logo was do booting up when you start PCU when FUGS was enabled and I have fixed that, and change what Load Gamelist ----- > say now, it say now "Load next gamelist >" and says "BGS enabled, not available" when Buttons Gamelist switcher is enabled so you know not to use it. You have to enable VIC20 CGS for it to show like you do with Favourites but if VIC20 is enabled you have go into VIC20 folder to hide Favourites, its in its start.sh script it the same script as in S_to_Z folder so its easy to change. Anything you don't understand please post here(you can ask any questions you like) and I will help you as much as I can .. how can i turn off the 2 button switcher i prefer the old method?

Then I have to adjust start.sh so that it works properly. <- This is not a problem for me, but it may bother others to make all these changes before using the FUGS and putting the original joystick back on the shelf. I would suggest simply uploading a pre-configured two-button gamelist switcher file and a pre-configured fake update gamelist switcher file. Then everyone could download the preferred version.

I guess I could do that, will have to do that tomorrow now. PCUV1.6 is uploaded, even if you use FUGS then you would have too enable VIC20 anyway cause it will always be hidden, I could make a PCU version for THEC64 Maxi ..? so one from Mini and one for Maxi. No you don't have to rename games folder in 0_fav to game1 if your using FUGS, only if you want to hide it from Buttons Gamelist Switcher if your using that.If it don't see a games folder it skips it and loads the next one.

One version for the Mini and one version for the Maxi, and both then in the two versions FUGS and BGS, may create too much confusion for new users. An additional folder besides "Carousel_Games" and "Extra Games for File Loader" with the name "start.sh for Fake Update Gamelist Switcher" which contains the start.sh for the FUGS and a readme.txt "If you want to use the Fake Update Gamelist Switcher, copy this start.sh to the root of your USB key and replace the existing. Backup, before replacing, if you want to switch back to the Buttons Gamelist Switcher again later" should be enough. It is only because of the small file start.sh, so it would be very easy to replace. Later, if there are enough VIC20 games in the VIC20 Gamelist, you could provide a version for the Mini (without VIC20 Gamelist) and one for the Maxi with the VIC20 Gamelist activated as standard.
Just a suggestion..

***Project Carousel USB by Spannernick*** RetroNuts on YouTubeOriginal idea by FaberfoX(Carousel USB Chooser), script by Spannernick/jj0 and Fake Update by jj0, raxrip and cyanic Carousel Gamelist Covers by Franky-Byte (Load Carousel Games from USB Stick, with Carousel Gamelist Screens, ) JIFFYDOS and SID 8580 ADDED, New Soundtracks Now Included Languages now added, en,de,fr,es,it Version 1.15 released.. For THEC64 Mini/Maxi This is free for non commercial use, NOT to SELL or RESELL. This Project was created by Spannernick, Retronuts on Youtube, Nick.A.Griffin on FB, Feb 14, 2020. Carousel Gamelist Screens by the touch of the buttons..
This will change the location of the C64 Games from the firmware in the Carousel to the USB Flash Drive, and able to add more games easily(Thanks goes to FaberfoX for the idea and his Carousel USB Chooser, that's where part of the name came from and "Project" came from Mod My Classic so it became "Project Carousel USB".. ).Please no more ideas for now, but thank you, some have been great, too many and I get overloaded with them.
Ploylab has copied this project so PLEASE do NOT buy.. TRUE BLUE Mini C64, this is free to download and use and always will be.. Thanks for your support..
This is what the TRUE BLUE MINI C64 looks like.. Here is a video in English by bastichb64k, thanks man.. My latest episode of "How To?" Is a tutorial on adding games to the C64 Maxi carousel mode with the new Project Carousel USB method . Link below to video 👇 (I might add stuff to this from time to time where I forgot to add something.. or might remove stuff if its getting to big.)It sounds like members are having problems copying PCU using MacOS, PCU has been made on a PC so all the files are zipped up using Windows 10, if you can please use Windows to copy it your USB Flash Drive and format it to to FAT32, then it will work. Theses post here might help you...
thec64community.online/thread/501/project-carousel-usb?page=18
Make sure you in Carousel Mode on THEC64 Maxi before running PCU, If you boot into Classic Mode first make sure its booting into Carousel Mode(THEC64 Mini Mode).
This will change the location of the C64 Games from the firmware, the Carousel shows to the USB Drive/Stick(Thanks goes to FaberfoX for the idea and not minding me using it for this project).
This is the closes you get to something like Project Lunar by MMC that's on the Sega Mega Drive and are able to load games in m2engage from a USB Flash Drive but you can only load games for the Commodore 64 or the VIC 20(VC 20) (THEC64 Maxi Only) in the Carousel and nothing is copied to the firmware, all the magic stuff is all on the USB Flash Drive, you just run a fake update from System Information page on THEC64 Mini or Maxi to run PCU.
PCU has a Carousel Gamelist Screen Favourites (0_fav folder) now, to add the games you use the most..
Make sure you have more than 6 games in the 0_fav folder, only if you are using the "Fake Update Gamelist Switcher" because if you do not, it can freeze the Carousel.
If you are using the new feature "Buttons Gamelist Switcher" then its ok, if you want to hide Favourites then all you need to do is rename the "games" folder inside "0_fav" folder to "games1", it will hide the Favourites Carousel Gamelist Screen and show only 0 TO G, H TO R and S TO Z instead, Favourites will be hidden, "VIC20" folder is already hidden. The games are in 5 folders now 0_fav, 0 to G, H to R and S to Z, and VIC 20(VIC20 added cause a version of it is coming out in October 2020 called THEVIC20) it can hold up to 900 games in PCU not including the 0_fav folder and 225 games per Carousel Gamelist Screen(I can add more Carousel Gamelist Screens if you want, the idea came from The True Blue Mini C64 but too many will be to time communing to go through , will properly not be adding more game folders, I might in the future. When you want to change Carousel Gamelist Screen just highlight the wrench icon and highlight "Load Gamelist H to R ›","Load Gamelist S to Z › or "Load Gamelist 0 to G ›" to change Gameslists(I have changed the System Information Page and made it reload a different games folder when you run the Fake Update)then highlight Open and the next Carousel Gamelist Screen will load.(This way of loading Carousel Gamelist Screens will be removed at point.) How to use the new feature, BGS - Buttons Gamelist Switcher by jj0, This is enabled by default, Press and Hold Down RED Menu button, that's the 4th button at the back of THEC64 Joystick, Make sure its HELD down first before you press the Left Fire Button and then press the Left Fire Button and hold for 2 seconds and then let go of the left fire button and then "LOADING 0 TO G" screen will come up and then the Carousel Gamelist Screen will change, once you have done it properly a few times you will get use to doing it and be able to do it every time, and will never use the old way again, If you are having a problem, look at the video further down for help and how to change the buttons its using to the buttons on your Controller. Games are in Carousel_Games/Games/ folder...
Carousel Gamelist Screen Favorites --> /0_fav/games (Now able to hide this screen, if you rename it "games1", only if your using BGS) Carousel Gamelist Screen 0 TO G--> /0 to G/games Carousel Gamelist Screen H TO R--> /H to R/games Carousel Gamelist Screen S TO Z--> /S to Z/gamesCarousel Gamelist Screen VIC 20--> /VIC20/games1 --> This Carousel Gamelist Screen is hidden for THEC64 Mini users.(only if your using BGS)If you want to enable VIC20 screen for THEC64 Maxi/THEVIC20 then change the name of the folder "games1" to "games" and it will show the VIC20 Carousel Gamelist Screen but only if you are using THEC64 Maxi, it will show on THEC64 Mini but none of the games will work , it has 5 games included, CLOWNS, DONKEY KONG, GRIDDRUNNER, RAT RACE, OMEGA RACE. Make sure you rename the "games1" to "games" folder in the VIC20 folder before running THEC64 Maxi Game Tool.exe, otherwise it will make a new "games" folder cause it thinks you don't have one. Thanks goes to Franky-Byte for the Carousel Gamelist Screen covers, now you will know what Gamelist Screen your on.. and on the LOADING screens, Why didn't I think of it.. (I have changed the covers a bit using Adobe Photoshop, they look a lot better now) But there is a price to pay for using them, you can only fit 225 not 226 games cause this takes up a game slot in the Carousel, each Carousel Gamelist Screen now only has 225 games slots available. Each Carousel Gamelist Screen folder has its own THEC64 Maxi Game Tool.exe so you can run it from there (when the USB Stick is in your PC) and can Add C64 Games to that games folder(0_fav, 0 to G, H to R, S to Z and VIC20). Remember to ignore all warnings when closing it, its just if you were making a thec64-9.9.9.bin file to send to THEC64 firmware and you are not, once its closed it will still remember what C64/VIC 20 games you have Added/Edited or Deleted. In each folder there is a folder called "Extra Games for File Loader" this folder is for C64 games that don't work on the Carousel and so you can play other games via USB File Loader or Media Access. This has now got about 490 C64 games included. Here is a video made by FrankyByte,
PCUv1.12 is still up at the moment, I will keep previous versions up for a while but they will be remove eventually.Q&A..Q:I can not get X-Windows Mod to work, all it does is PCU loads up, the buttons are not working?A: Remember you have to add the "rootfs.img" file from "X-Windows_mod_v3.zip" to PCU, it will not work without it, if you have done that already then keep reading .... Highlight Apply to start PCU then press both fire buttons down... and hold down both left and right fire buttons together for 8 seconds or until you see the screen go black(blank) and the Update screen disappears and the mouse pointer appear in the middle of the screen, then XWM has loaded.Q: I want to make the changes permanent, so its there every time I turn it on, Is this possible?A: No you can't make it permanent, well not at the moment but maybe in the future, I did look into it and when you run the script from inside the firmware it stops USB File Browser and Media Access working so you can't see anything on the USB Stick only the games on the Carousel, I didn't go with that idea cause not all games work on the Carousel.Q: This makes no permanent changes to the TheC64 Maxi/Mini and doesn't effect you using future Firmware updates?A: No it does not make any changes to the firmware at all, its all on the USB Drive/Stick, if you want to update then update before running PCU, DO NOT run a update in PCU, if you can use a different USB Drive/Stick for the Update that would be best but if you can not then Carousel will not see the update, it will see always the fake update first cause it has a higher update number so you could remove theC64-9.9.90.bin to one of the folders like Carousel_Games just while you run the new update then copy it back to the root of the USB Drive/Stick.Q: Does PCU interfere temporarily with the current setup of the CJM files?A: No, if you have them in a folder with your game, you can still load them but will have to put them in the "Extra Games for File Loader" to load them up from USB File Browser or Media Access, so say your in 0 to G then you need to put the games and CJM files in the "Extra Games for File Loader" folder in 0 to G folder to be able to load them.Q: How to add my Game Controller or Joystick to PCU?A: You can use the SDL2 Game tool(info on there site on how to use the sdl2 game tool).
We have made it easier to add a controller or joystick to PCU, by overmounting the gamecontrollerdb.txt on theC64 firmware with one one in PCU, you have two text files, one for THEC64 Mini and one for THEC64 Maxi, that because the C64 Mini uses SDL1 and THEC64 Maxi uses SDL2.
The SDL2 Game Tool on windows, the GUID it shows is wrong for it to work on Linux but not on Windows, look down below to correct this so it works on THEC64 Mini/Maxi..
Can you see the difference and what's wrong..?
03000000a30c00002500000000000000,Sega Megadrive Mini 3 Button Controller,a:b5,b:b1,righttrigger:b2,start:b9,dpup:-a4,dpdown:+a4,dpleft:-a3,dpright:+a3,platform:Linux,
03000000a30c00002500000011010000,Sega Megadrive Mini 3 Button Controller,a:b5,b:b1,righttrigger:b2,start:b9,dpup:-a4,dpdown:+a4,dpleft:-a3,dpright:+a3,platform:Linux,
See the difference, this part needs adding 03000000a30c00002500000011010000 , its missing at the end, "00000000" at the end is wrong.
When using the SDL2 Game tool on Windows, you need the to change the last 8 digits(Binary Numbers) at the end to "11010000" and paste it over 8 zeros digits at the end of the GUID then you have the right GUID for Linux and THEC64 Mini/Maxi.
Worked it out from this post... thec64community.online/post/3116
Once you have configured the controller you get this..
03000000a30c00002500000011010000,Sega Megadrive Mini 3 Button Controller,a:b5,b:b1,righttrigger:b2,start:b9,dpup:-a4,dpdown:+a4,dpleft:-a3,dpright:+a3,platform:Windows,
Copy it into one of the txt files in the controllers folder at the end of the file to the THEC64 version you are using,(Mini or Maxi), you have to change platform:Windows to platform:Linux and platform might be near the beginning of the line so it has to be moved to the end, like it is in the line above.
The SDL txt files are in the folder "Carousel_Games\Options\controllers" and named c64maxicontrollerdb.txt and c64minicontrollerdb.txt. copy it to the one you are using, I would back up the one you are going to edit and add a Controller or Joystick to first..
It now should look like this when you have finished editing the GUID...
03000000a30c00002500000011010000,Sega Megadrive Mini 3 Button Controller,a:b5,b:b1,righttrigger:b2,start:b9,dpup:-a4,dpdown:+a4,dpleft:-a3,dpright:+a3,platform:Linux, (This line dose work, it is in THEC64 Maxi SDL txt file at the end of the file, you can use the Sega Mega Drive USB 3 Button Gamepad from the Sega Mega Drive Mini, on the C64 Mini/Maxi.)
Now save it, you can test it and see if your controller works, if you have done it right, it will work as soon as you start-up PCU and able to move the square yellow box around the Carousel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ **How to put it on your USB Drive/Stick**Do not copy this over PCUv1.14 it will not work, remove PCUv1.14 first before putting PCUv1.15 on USB Drive, folder structure has been changed, and it has a new feature. Download Folder HEREClick on PCUv1.15.zip in Download folder to download it.. X-Windows Mod is now include with PCU, you can download it from Here, you need to copy the file "rootfs.img" only from the zip file before you can use it, copy it to "\Carousel_Games\Options\X-Windows-Mod\ folder before running it, look further down under "What's New in PCU..." on how to use the two Fire Buttons to Boot X-Windows Mod. Click on the zip file to open it, copy it to you USB Drive/Stick(mine is L:\) and let it extract the files and wait for it to finish it should take about 14 to 20 minutes to copy the files and its done, now you can plug it into THEC64 Mini/Maxi. If you want to enable or disable things, edit the start.sh script on the root of the USB drive with Notepad++(this is what I use to edit it on my PC, Windows 10) and if you want Jiffy-Dos 6 enabled. You should only see theses Files inside the zip file.. Carousel_Games Extra Games for File Loader HELP README.txt start.sh THEC64 Joystick buttons.txt theC64-9_9_90.bin If you want to drag and drop the files in to your USB Flash Drive, you need to click on each file so all of them are highlighted and then Drag and Drop it into the root of your USB Flash Drive(you can drag round them with your mouse to if you like to highlight them). If you are wondering why there is a file called "THEC64 Joystick buttons.txt" then it for editing the buttons for XWM and BGS, if you want to use a different button on THEC64 Joystick and not the defult ones(BTN_TRIGGER, BTN_BASE2), you then don't need to load up XWM to get the name of the buttons for THEC64 Joysick, there in the txt file. Plug the drive into your THEC64 Mini/Maxi, Make Sure you in Carousel Mode (THEC64 Mini Mode) on THEC64 Maxi before starting PCU, go down and highlight the "Wrench or Spanner.". icon and and press fire button, select "System Information" then press on Apply and wait for it to boot(it will take about 5 seconds) and you should see a black screen with "Project Carousel USB" logo then the first Carousel Gamelist Screen should load, if you see Carousel Gamelist Screen with "Favourites or Games 0 - G" like the screenshot below(Carousel Gamelist Screens) then you are now in PCU, it now has about 480 C64 games included from the True Blue Mini C64.. and a few VIC 20 games. Remember.. You can add other games as well by putting them in the folder called "Extra Games for File Browser" so if you want to play a game that you can't add to the Carousel cause it has 2 Disks or 2 Sided Disks and Tapes. Each Carousel Gamelist Screen can hold about 226 games so about 678 games in 3 screens. I have added the Carousel Gamelist Screen Favourites so you can add your Favourite games to it that you play the most. This is a Spanish version of PCU with games from Spain so includes a different set of games with it, its called... "***Project Carousel USB La Edad de Oro***" it is made by Shamen and you can download it here.
What's New in PCU...
Some games have been updated in the 0 to G folder, more will be updated in time.
PCU v1.14 has a new feature, its called Buttons Gamelist Switcher, you can now change the Carousel Gamelist Screens by pressing two buttons down together on THEC64 Joystick, to change to the next Carousel Gamelist Screen.
PCUv1.15.. This feature is enabled by default, it has now been fix to work with all THEC64 Joysticks, including THEC64 Micro Switch Joystick. How to use the Feature..Press and Hold Down RED Menu button, that's the 4th button at the back of THEC64 Joystick, Make sure its HELD down first before you press the Left Fire Button and then press the Left Fire Button and hold for 2 seconds and then let go of the left fire button and then "LOADING 0 TO G" screen will come up and then the Carousel Gamelist Screen will change, once you have done it properly a few times you will get use to doing it and be able to do it every time, If you are having a problem, look at the video below for help. How to use the Buttons Gamelist Switcher Method with Carousel Gamelist Screens and X-Windows Mod.
At the moment you can only use THEC64 Joystick to change Carousel Gamelist screens, you need to click on "Test Joystick Button(PCU)"(Evtest-qt) from the desktop in X-Windows Mod to get the names of your buttons(select your controller in Evtest-qt Drop Down Menu first) on your controller and press one of the buttons and you see it turn red in Evtest-qt and you then copy the name of the buttons that are come up in red, the 4 buttons you want to use for XWM and BGS. Then add them to the start.sh on the root of the USB Flash Drive to get Button Gamelist Switcher to work with with your controller, once you have set it up, it will work all the time, look at the HELP README.txt File that included with PCU for more info. This now has X-Windows Mod included, its post is here for info... thec64community.online/thread/487/thec64-windows-mod Copy its "rootfs.img" to /Carousel_Games/Options/X-Windows-Mod/ and start it by using the two Fire Buttons of THEC64 Joystick, When you go and start PCU(Wrench Icon then "System Information").. Highlight Apply and then press both fire buttons down together(Left and Right Fire Buttons) and hold both fire buttons down for 8 seconds and screen will go black and it will boot up with the screen below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carousel Gamelist Screens------------------------------ Each screen has its own soundtrack now Pictures were taken before Franky-Byte Gamelist Screens were added.(Will update them soon) 0 TO G Carousel Gamelist ScreenH TO R Carousel Gamelist ScreenS TO Z Carousel Gamelist ScreenHow to use THEC64 Maxi Game Tool with Project Carousel USB
It is now included in the folders... /Carousel_Games/0 to G, H to R and S to Z, TMGT is in each folder now, double click on TheC64MaxiGameTool.exe to run it from that folder when the USB Flash Drive is plugged in to your PC so you can add or change games in the games folder on the USB Flash Drive, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE MAKE FW BUTION, just use Add, Edit and Delete buttons and you will be able to Edit or Delete or Add new C64 Games and they will be added to the games folder or remove them using the Delete button.
VICE 2.4 is included too, VICE is there so you can make snapshot files of the C64/Vic 20 Games you want to add(pressing the VICE button) you can even play the C64 games on the Carousel in the THEC64 Maxi Game Tool by clicking twice on its game cover, to test to see if that game works OK, just click on one of the Covers of the C64 games.
When adding or editing a game, when you close TheC64 Maxi Game Tool it will come up with a Warning saying if you close it, it will not save the changes to the games its added or edited, that's just if you making a firmware update to send to THEC64 Mini/Maxi so please ignore the warning. DO NOT press MAKE CFW Button, no need too.(it adds the games or edits them straight away to the Games folder so changes happen instantly.)
After you finished what you want to do, Close THEC64 Maxi Game Tool then Eject the USB Stick so you don't corrupt it, you have to close THEC64 Maxi Game Tool first otherwise you can't Eject the USB Stick. How to Add a new gamename.tsg file Using the old gamename.tsg file using TheC64 Maxi Game Tool.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The C64 Maxi Game Tool has a habit of coming up with a error if you try and edit a .tsg file that was not made by it,(by adding -ms to the tsg file like gamename-ms.tsg) this will help you bypass the error and made a new .tsg game file that's compatible with TheC64 Maxi Game Tool.Make a folder on the USB in 0 to G/games called Other Games and cut and paste the gamename.tsg file you want to change from the 0 to G/games folder to the Other Games folder. Open gamename.tsg up with Notepad that in the Other Games folder so you can see inside it and able to read it, now start TCMGT(TheC64 Maxi Game Tool) in 0 to G folder and click Add and copy everything from the gamename.tsg file to the Add game box then click on OK when you have finished, that game is now added with a new gamename.tsg and has a proper name. Now double click on the game you just added to TCMGT to run it in Vice and wait for the game to load up and then bypassing the crack screen and then click on snapshot (when you see the game menu) on the VICE menu(top menu)and click on Save snapshot and tick the 2 tick boxes(Save currently attached disk images, Save currently attached ROM images)at the bottom of the Save snapshot image box and name it whatever you like then click Save button to save the snapshot and remember where you saved it too, now close Vice, click on Edit button(TCMGT) on the game you just added and add the snapshot you made in Vice to "File Path... Game" on the Edit game box and click on the button with the 3 dots(...) next to it "Game" to add the snapshot to add the snapshot you made in Vice and click on OK button to finish.. Done.. Once your finished with the tsg files in the Other Games folder, just delete the tsg files from that folder once you are finished with them. Now you can edit the game with TCMGT anytime you want. Here is a picture of TheC64 Maxi Game Tool reading from the games folder (this is a old picture before Carousel Gamelist Screen was made)on USB Stick(K:)

PCUv1.16-FUGS is uploading now... BGS has been removed from it including XWM, so it basically what PCU was before BGS but you can enable VIC20 Screen now. PLEASE if you do enable something in the script please use Notepad++ its made to work with script so you can see the lines better then just using a test editor... it here.. notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/PCUv1.16 BGS.. BGS is enabled in this version and FUGS has been removed, if you want to use FUGS then download the other version, there is no need to enable it now, It will not work, the lines of code has been removed from start.sh script. PCUv1.16 FUGS.. FUGS is enabled in this version and BGS has been removed, if you want to use BGS then download the other version, there is no need to enable it now, It will not work, the lines of code has been removed from start.sh script. So now you have a choice of which version you want to use... still uploading... WAIT for it to finish uploading to One Drive cause if you see it there and it has not finished yet, you could get a corrupt zip file.. I will post again to let you know, Thanks..

NOW TEST... TEST... TEST... let me know if everything is working OK. Great, thank you. I'll test soon but do I still need to do the following to enable the Vic20 games?:
Plug your USB key into your Computer and rename the folder "games1" to "games" inside the folder VIC20: Carousel_Games -> Games -> VIC20

Only if you have downloaded BGS version, in FUGS you have to enable it in the start.sh script in S_to_Z folder like how you do it with Fav and 0 to G.

I am only testing the FUGS version (downloaded today at 18:10). The only thing I noticed: The name in the menu for loading the next game list is always "Load the Gamelist 0 to G" (in German: "Lade die Gameliste 0 to G"), no matter which game list is loaded next. I thought I had read somewhere that the label should be "Load next Gamelist". Great, thank you. I was wondering why the folder in the VIC20 folder is called "games" and not "games1". Thanks also for the tip for the program Notepad ++. With a normal editor, changing the start.sh is a pain, because it is so confusing. I changed the start.sh in S_to_Z so that the VC20 game list is available again. Now I have activated all 5 game lists from Favorites to VIC20 Games and everything is working fine so far.

Notepad++ makes it easier to see what is enabled too, all the stuff that has a hash(#) are all in green.. Oh yes never got round to doing the other languages, only English at the moment, 0_fav and 0_to_G is the only folders now with the language messages files, I removed the rest, they were not need any more, don't know why RGL called them messages, some of the way the carousel files are, are a bit weird, why not call them languages instead, I have put them now in a folder called Languages.. All I can think of why RGL did things this way is so its hard to add your own games to the Carousel.

Is this right to put there..."Laden Sie die nächste Spieleliste".. ? That would be correct, but "Nächste Spieleliste laden" sounds much better for people with german mother tongue, so I would prefer this.

Uploaded... Thank you so much! Now everything is perfect for me. There's only one thing left, but it's not a big problem. There are still no descriptions for the games in the VIC20 game list, except for "Gridrunner VIC20". See photo:

Well there would not be, its only in English language.

Well there would not be, its only in English language. Okay. I see, as soon I change the language of TheC64 to English, these descriptions are there. Many other games like H.E.R.O. shows the english description in every language setting (except Italian, there is an Italian text shown). I don't see anything to configure in the Maxi Game Tool, which description is shown in which language setting.
All in all, I don't care. I would understand all text written in English too, but these small details are not so important.
It is much more important that everything else works well, and it does.

TheC64 Maxi Game Tool is a English app, that's why it only dose the English description and it would of been to hard to add different languages to the app so that properly why he did it that way. Project Lunar and Eris add games with a English description too. Gridrunner is one of the games that come with THEC64 Maxi so it would have different languages. I have just added the English description to the other languages to the games in the VIC20 folder so now it shows some text.. if you want it in your own language you will have to add it to the tsg files for the games manually, its too hard to add new text to every single game, there are to many. Uploading now.. The games that have English text in the other languages are from the True Blue Mini C64, the games made by THEC64 Maxi Game Tool don't. The other way of doing it in your language is, releasing a version of PCU in German, I don't mind you doing that(there is a Spanish version on here with games from Spain) just credit me and the others that made PCU possible.

Just adding the English description to all languages for games, which were added by the THEC64 Maxi Game Tool would be fine. Nowadays the most people will understand English, as they learn this foreign language already in school. No need to translate them.
The other way of doing it in your language is, releasing a version of PCU in German, I don't mind you doing that(there is a Spanish version on here with games from Spain) just credit me and the others that made PCU possible. For me it is not necessary for releasing a PCU in German, so I won't do that. Everything is fine as it is now and the language is already supported in the menus etc.

So, just a silly question. I have a controller (I mentioned before) that works out of the box with all the games on the standard pre installed Carousel. I know if I use BGS the controller doesn't work properly on all the non-orginal games unless I add the controllers map to the controller folder included in PCU.
My question is, if I use Fugs instead, can I forgo this step? Will the controller just work as it does with the unmodified Carousel?

YES if it works with the Carousel already then it will work with PCU FUGS, the Carousel in PCU uses is v1.3.2, it in thec64 folder under Options.
