Well, maybe such a thread would be useful for the developers.
For the starters - "Heavenbound". A very interesting error occurs - the hero falls through the platforms. (That are clouds here, he-he, but still they should be "solid" on the classic C64 - ).
Regards.

Perhaps try this disk image to see if it will work for you. This is the one that I have and I have no difficulties with it on my C64Mini.

johny8 It could have sense if: you provided game source (version), at what type of Mini you try it (NTSC, PAL), what settings. I really doubt it is glitch in VICE (that it is behind Mini). You probably run bad cracked version. Right now, in this shape of "information", it is senseless and useless. edit: it was fast - virtualsky you rulez! *Respect* - Wasteland thread, problem solved: thec64community.online/thread/277/wasteland

Thanks! Just trying to be of help. As for a thread on games that don't work, I think it's a good idea. For this game, however, it 'may just be a bad version or a wrong setting (like just having to use NTSC rather than PAL). But, unless we communicate with each other, we'll never know. So, I say, keep posting those issues and hopefully we can help one another!

The thing is, reporting games that potentially does not work is ok, but comprehension of stuff behind is more important. For example: plenty of games initially did not work at NTSC machines, but community made working versions of those. Now it is a meter of choice to run "original" version or improved one. Even better example is "Commando" that has bugs in original version. Game has flickering of sprites and freeze in some occasions. It is all improved, added new intro, music, mission in "community version". Here is Special Edition of that ("Commando Arcade SE") and here EasyFlash (cartridge release), probably the best option ever. Just avoid / rename "_" in filenames when using it with Mini. (it is http, not https so browser could protest because of url: www.n0stalgia.org/common/pages/releases.php?op=showrelease&id=327)

Yes, some game are more finicky than others and require a bit of tweaking with the file names or the .cjm file. The frustrating ones are those that have to do with a bad .d64 image; those take a little more patience to deal with.

Virtualsky: thank you for being helpful, means much, especially in opposition to rude 'calling names' to new users (which is very discouraging). Regards.

I'm also an owner of Atari 2600 Flashback Portable clone and they have a kind of community there - they "fishing" for games that don't work on the clone and for example they try to change the games to work on the machine. So this and only this I had in mind starting the thread. If not changing games (C64 ones must be more complicated) maybe generating some kind of help for the firmware developers or something. NOT to discredit this excellent project. Anyway - has anybody try the "Stormlord II / Deliverance" yet? I tested all the versions from PlanetEmu and all of them have serious problems with joystick / joypad steering the main hero. Usually it's simply impossible. (Yes, they're 'trained' but I somehow cannot find the game on c64.com/ ). Kind regards.

Give this a try: Deliverance.zip. Unzip the file and put the Deliverance folder on your USB stick. Load up the file in the Side 1 folder on your C64Mini. From what I could tell, the game is controlled by the keyboard, not the joystick. So, I created a .cjm file that mapped the appropriate keys to the joystick. I've never played the game before, but from what I can tell, the mappings seem to be working; at least for up, down, left, right, and fire controls. Also, I had to run the game in PAL mode and, for good measure, I activated "Accurate Disk" for compatibility, so the game loads a little slowly. Good luck and please let me know how it goes. Just an FYI, I couldn't find this game on c64.com either. I did find it on GB64, here. David.

Try using this copy of the game and ensure that you use the _AD or "Accurate Disk" flag. And, perhaps, if you're not using NTSC, try that as well. It works on mine with these two settings in place. Good luck!

Hey, fantastic! Glad it worked out. The two most reliable sources I've been able to find for C64 disk images are C64.com and Gamebase64. If C64.com doesn't have what I'm looking for, I'll then go to Gamebase64. I really like C64.com's format, so I try to contribute to their game voting and review records when ever I can. So, if you have a chance, be sure to add your reviews and votes to the database for the games you like.

csdb.dk/ is also a great source, many improved / fixed titles (not just trainers, but NTSC fixed, EasyFlash conversions etc).

> C64.com / Gamebase64 / csdb.dk/ ------------- Thanks a lot.
> Give this a try: Deliverance.zip. --------- Oh, it works just fine!
> From what I could tell, the game is controlled by the keyboard, not the joystick. ----------- I see. It reacting for fire and one of the directions, so it misled me.
> Also, I had to run the game in PAL mode and, for good measure, I activated "Accurate Disk" for compatibility, --------------- Yes yes, I always use PAL and Accurate Disk.
Again, thanks a lot, all.

I have yet to have any luck getting Battletech: Crescent Hawk's Inception working. Not sure if it is the disk images or the settings I am using however. Anyone else succeeded?
