Make sure its a 3amp USB Changer or Adapter so its 5V 3 Amp.

The more devices you connect to your machine like a USB Hub, the more power it will need.

You can use a Raspberry PI3 Power Adapter(PSU) too, thats 5.1v 2.5A and it will give you more power for other devices that you connect to your machine.

So the one that comes with these units (the 1 amp) are not good enough for the basic configuration? Like a regular USB stick and TheC64 joystick?

I’ve been using the standard supply that came with TheC64 for two years now. Never had a problem with anything I’ve thrown at it.
