For anyone that might be interested... I just picked up a belkin 4-port USB 2.0 HUB and it works fine with the C64mini and does not require any extra power to run a second joystick, keyboard and usb stick/sd card. £17.99 at Argos. Argos Link: www.argos.co.uk/product/3387225It's all in a bit of a mess from just testing and messing about but yeah I have my Innext SNES pad in the C64mini and then the hub running TheC64 Joystick, Logitech Keyboard and in the picture a 2gig SD card in an adapter without any extra power - all working sweet! I've also tested my sandisk USB 3.0 memory stick on the hub and that works fine as well. The hub also comes with a PSU that's pumping out 5amps. White USB cable is a bit long but should be able to change it as it's USB to USB mini. May not be a cheap option for a hub but if it didn't work it was easier to take it back to Argos than PC World.

Update. I'm now powering the C64mini directly off the hub and everything is working fine! It's a proper fully functional Death Star now.
