Just thought I'd point out a guy who's company is called RetroGameBoyz that's making snes style (and other styles) controllers for retro consoles including the amiga and C64, with features like Jump function for one of the buttons for platform games so you don't have to push up on the dpad, as well as an extra button function that acts like a space bar for instance in games that launch bombs or such on systems like the amiga and C64. I'm planning on using them with the ICode Atari to USB adapter on my maxi and mini.
He makes custom ones with fantastic graphics for the C64, Amiga, Vectrex (with 4 button original menu selection), atari, the robotron game (two dpads or thumbstick dpads, your choice), msx, coleco, etc. He also makes left handed ones or dpads with or without thumbstick attachments.
All custom designs of your choice in making if you don't see it already listed in stock with your particular wants. They're not too expensive at around $30 some dollars either. You'll find them on eBay and amazon but he's migrating it all to his own site which allows further custom ordering and such. Real nice guy to talk to too. I ordered two C64 snes style gamepads, one left handed and one right handed, with additional thumbstick dpads. And no I'm not here to promote. Just honestly feel it's worth checking out.
Look on his site or better yet his youtube channel. Those controllers have killer graphics to match your old console or computer and added functions particular to that system. Things like the Vectrex or Robotron look will blow your mind. Really nice looking product. I especially like the option of thumbstick dpads cuz I never cared for simple dpads and prefer a short thumb controlled stick. I even use my atari 2600 joysticks that way.
