Is there a list of compatible usb sticks for the mini and maxi? I know they need to be 32 gig or less because bigger sizes can have issues, but I want to purchase some new sticks for both machines and need to know which brands work. Also, is there any issue with using usb 3.0 sticks, because I'd prefer to get 3.0 for faster use on my computer or other projects.

I kept a wiki page of compatible hardware here: gurce.net/c64mini/hardware_compatibility_lists#usb_memory_sticksAdmittedly, I haven't updated it in a while, though from the impression I was getting from most user experiences in the fb forum was that: The most common problem they experienced was their usb-stick not having an MBR. After formatting with an MBR, it usually worked fine, regardless of model. There were a few users that had very large sized usb-sticks that were failing despite trying to add the mbr. I have a memory of some of these people still finding a way around the problem by partitioning their usb-sticks into 2 partitions.

I really doubt that there are USB sticks of sizes > 32GB that don't work with THE64. I've personally used USB sticks of various sizes up to 256MB. The key thing is that they use an MBR partition table (whereas larger sticks formatted in Windows tend to use a GPT partition table) and of course they are formatted as FAT.

Thing is though 32 gig can pretty much hold every piece of software ever written for the C64. Unless somebody figures out how to put an attract mode on the carousel that does video previews of games I doubt there's going to be a need for using a larger size? I'd love to see that by the way. With my retropie setup of many systems I usually just sit and watch it randomly preview a new game every 30 seconds and discover new ones to check out that away.
