Greetings. TheC64 just arrived in the mail. What a beautiful piece of hardware! I tried following website and user manual instructions to update the firmware using a USB memory stick but no luck getting it to recognize the file. - Formatted the USB memory stick at FAT32, default allocation size, 'quick format' unticked
- Put the firmware file on the root, along with a .d64 file to try. Only 2 files on the device, no subdirectories.
- Inserted the memory stick in the back USB port.
- The C64 does not recognize the firmware update nor does it recognize the d64 image.
The memory stick is 32GB.
What could I be doing wrong? EDIT: I tried a different, smaller USB memory stick (1 GB) and now it works.

Are you going to the settings menu to see if the firmware is detected?
Are you going to the settings menu and switching to classic mode and trying to access the d64 file?
Neither file is automatically recognised just by plugging it in and booting the TheC64.
If you describe a bit more what you are doing we can try and help.
What make / type is the USB stick?
