Haven't seen this reported before (or just may not be searching for it properly):
If you autostart a game from Media access using the B button on the joystick, joystick ports are mapped properly (i.e. the _J1 flag maps the first/only joystick to port 1 in-game).
If you autostart the same game from Media access using the B button on the keyboard, the joystick ports (J1 and J2) are swapped from what is expected.
Obviously, the expected behavior is identical.
I'm not sure how to go about formally reporting this to RGL. It is 100% reproducible.

AFAIK if your press B key on your keyboard then the keyboard becomes the joystick, so Up = U, Down = J, left = H and Right = L, you need to look at the manual page 16 for the rest of the keys cause I can't remember all of them... The keyboard takes over port 2.

Huh - that's an unfortunate design choice for folks that choose not to use the supplied stick at all. Shift-B to force keyboard stick would have been a better idea. Ah, well - thanks for the clarification, I honestly had no idea! It's amazing how much complexity trying to simplify VICE has caused. LOL
