Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had managed to use MP3 files to load software onto TheC64? Can they be converted to TAP or other file formats?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had managed to use MP3 files to load software onto TheC64? Can they be converted to TAP or other file formats? I would think you first convert them to WAV-files and then there are utilities ti convert WAV to TAP, e.g. sourceforge.net/p/c64tapes/wiki/Home/

Oh... I have one of them, its a older version, it acts like a sound card, made by the same guy, you can use Audiotap and capture the sound from a cassette game then play the tap file as it being captured and load it in WinVICE, I wanted to get it to work on THEVIC20, but I would need Audiotap version for Linux that works with THEVic20 and if it works with it kernal, now I know abit more about Linux I might see if I can get it to work.

No I don't have one of them, that loads games from a tablet, I have a Clonemaster, and this too... 1530USB Datasette To PC Adapter made by the same guy, this acts like a sound card.

I have both, the 1530 USB to PC is great for backing up original tapes to TAP The other device is great for loading from MP3 - he provides some tools for compressed loading from the web. They both act a bit like a sound card. Clever stuff.
