I recall the panned release date was either the 24th or 27th of April. Is that still on or is it now being delayed? The C64 mini team said they were looking at a micro switch option...
I assume if the release is still on for next week that no changes to the stick would of been made as the shipment may of been ordered before the release of the C64 mini. Either way I'm not fussed if it is delayed, just want a spare as you do. 🕹️

Would of been nice if they said yeah out Friday but no..., just blatant ignorance on their part and then they want to shut the forum on the same day? I'll keep an eye out and let you know if it shows up in-store where I pre-ordered them.

It's a bit like Nintendo amiibo's, for the most part they are useless but as you do you might grab one for the sake of doing so.
But yeah, lets hope someone out there makes a good one.
They could even skip the joystick and release a control pad, (to cover the extra buttons) but it also allows your old joysticks to be plugged into it. That way we'd get to use our own preferred stick.

Just been down to Smyths Toy shop where I bought my mini's and they have "not" taken delivery of the joysticks! He claimed they have them at the main supply depot but have not been sent out to shops, adding maybe next week we'll get them in. The usual story...
Whatever the case there may be a delay.

Finally got the call today and just picked them up. They are £24.99 each. They never came in a sealed plastic bag like the C64mini however they are sealed which you might be able to make out at the top of the left one just above the THEC64 JOYSTICK logo.  All I'm doing with these though is putting them away as spares for my two mini's, one for each and have no intention of opening them unless I need them. Cheers! |
