I`ve got thevic20 and the64 and would like to make the carousel for each of them so the have only the games for that machine, has any one else done this project by using the update FW method so there`s no usb stick in the machines, would be nice  |

Yes you can do that but if you put games in the firmware that are not meant to be there then when you go to update the firmware it will not work and you could have a black screen, it happened to me and my THEC64 Mini, had to put the games back that were originally on it before the update worked, it safer running other games from a usb stick or using PCUAE.
