Defender of the Crown - game freezes right at the beginning

This is my first post.

I recently bought THEC64 and I'm having a lot of fun down to the memory lane. I used C64 emulators before but having the "real" home computer under my fingers is another thing. Tons of kudos to Retro Games!!!

Anyway, I'm having problems trying to run Defender of the Crown. Either it freezes at the end of the title music, or it freezes during loading (I've tried two different copies). It runs fine in the CCS64 emulator, though.

Anybody managed to have this game running?
