Hello. i'm happy user of c64 maxi
but i have connectet this device to my monitor - whithout any speakers... and this is a problem.
Can somebody help me - how to add internal speaker to my c64?
i don't afraid to modifikate this device. I have the skills of soldering, i'm a begginer electronic etc.

Hi,
Why don't you buy some sort of HDMI to AUX splitter box? That negates the need to modify the system completely. Just connect the box between your system and TV, after that you can just connect a bog-standard 3,5 jack speaker set on that AUX port.
If you mod it with internal speakers, it would kinda ruin the Commodore 64 experience.

yeah, i know that i can bough a hdmi to aux dongle - but its'not ideal for my setup. I have a huge collections of olds computers/video consoles and a have very limited space to each one. Additionaly I like integrated things. I this is becase i like modyfing almost everithing

It's unlikely to be possible to add an internal speaker. The CPU generates the HDMI signal internally, presumably with the digital sound already there, so you won't be able to find an analog version of the sound anywhere in there.

I this is becase i like modyfing almost everithing Add an USB sound card internally and try to route the sound through that by modifying the ALSA config in /etc/asoundrc
