Been working on a way of getting Retro Orange PI to boot in THEC64 Maxi PI from inside its firmware, while its running.
This is been done the same way X-Windows Mod loads up, using chroot. THanks jj0 for that and the help..
well we are working on it together.
Its alive.. on a THEC64 Maxi (PI) Managed to boot it using chroot. It not working properly atm but its alive.. it boots up, its getting there. so you will have 2 options boot into THEC64 Maxi Carousel via PCU or Boot into ROPIMaxi.. Can't stop Smiling.. 
No controllers work ATM so early days yet.. need to find out if it will work on the real thing(THEC64 Maxi) yet but it looks promising.
I thought you would be interested in this too, there is not time scale on this, it will be ready when its ready.
I believe that Linux is the future and is bigger than Windows,(Windows can only be Windows) you can do so much with Linux, we wouldn't have Android now would we(Android killed off Windows Phone(Windows Mobile).. Linux can be anything, even a Desktop Landline Phone from 2004(Amstrad E3 Videophone Emalier, it was like a HiHi phone), so your probably using something right now that uses Linux and your don't know it, it everywhere now.. even the web page your looking at right now is probably on a Linux server.
