Found out why the Carousel is freezing when its loading it from Classic Mode, it the .wav soundtrack file that's doing it.. weird, to get round it, before turning off and booting Classic Mode make sure that you turn off the music by pressing C of your joystick or on the keyboard, only need to do this if its on the Fav CGScreen then the carousel will load up ok, I will look in to it at some point, I wondered if it was that, if you try a press C on the carousel once its working it will make it exit, crash, the wav file could be partly corrupted, don't make sense if the carousel boots then the wav file is ok, this could be the reason why its crashing on other languages too. load_pcm() -- Couldn't open /usr/share/the64/ui/sounds/menu.wav: Received signal 11 (SIGSEGV), exiting.
The wav file makes the Carousel exit itself. Anytime The Carousel crashes you don't need to restart your machine, just press and hold down for 2 seconds CTRL-F1, CTRL-F3 or CTRL-F5 to restart it. Uploaded all the VIC20 games now with descriptions to the PCUAEv1.20Beta.zip file now.. |

Fixed it.. The size of the wav file was to big, it was 41mb not 37mb or lower like the other wav files and was at the wrong sample rate at 32000hz when it should be at 22000hz to make it a smaller file size, the wav file can't be over 40mb otherwise it crashes the carousel. Its ok now you can now go from Classic Mode to Carousel Mode fine and back. When copying PCUAEv1.20Beta.zip back to your USB Stick, you will need to do it clean cause I have change the wav files and made them not so loud and removed the wav files that's not used no more in the option folder. PLEASE wait for a new file to appear in the AA Project Carousel USB DEV folder, had to remove the old one and make a new zip file using 7zip. |

Why is it that the memory expansion settings for the Vic20 are not working?(gametool) 
It would solve all problems with the TAP files that have many parts . I really want to add some of these games

I have been using pcu120 for a few days now.
What struck me immediately was the speed of the games.
I saw that I am now running at 60Hz, instead of 50Hz.
How can I change that?
PUC120 works fine, no errors found. :-)

PUC120 works fine, no errors found. :-) Press CTRL-F to change from 60hz to 50hz and vise verse, you use only one shortcut key now to change them between them now and it will reload the Carousel v1.3.2... No need to reset THEC64 Maxi anymore.. , I worked out it stores the hertz setting in the settings dat file so all its doing is reloading one with 50hz set or 60hz set in the settings.dat file... What's PUC1.20... hehe |

I have notice if THEC64 Maxi don't like 50hz cause the TV your using, the carousel automatically change it back to 60hz, if it does that you might have to press the shortcut keys twice cause the code thinks it changing from 50hz to 60hz so once the carousel reloads press the shortcut again, always look on the update page in the settings in Carousel Mode or Classic Mode to see what hertz THEC64 Maxi's on.

It now works at 50Hz :-)
when i pressed crtl + f, my c64 crashed.
Switched to black screen and had to turn off with the on / off.
I had to do the fake update again, and luckily it now worked at 50 Hz.
I have a pc monitor with a VGA input for which I use a VGA to HDMI adapter.
I can also get my sound out of this right away.

When I go to v20 with CTRL F5, the freq stays at 50Hz. But when I go back with CTRL F7 the C64 freezes :-(
edit : When I CTRL F5 again, the C64 comes back to life

I need your help because I want to know if, once I remove the USB with Project Carousel 1.20b, and I turn on theC64 maxi, I find the "old" Carousel?

Hi spannernick, first of all THANKS for your effort and hard work, i really appreciate it Then, i need your help with latest version (1.20beta), because when i apply PCU firmware and reset my TheC64 mini with usb drive inserted, after PCU AE logo i can see favorites carousel but i can't do anything, i can't move with my stick, carousel seems freezed...Of course, when i reset mini and remove usb drive original carousel loads correctly: what do you suggest about this issue? Thanks in advance! |

Do this press CTRL-2 and see if the carousel load 0 to G screen for me, you should be able to do that even if it freezes, I change the wav file in 0_fav folder that was doing this so did you install PCUAEv1.20 on a empty USB Stick.?
