Do you have flow control turned OFF in your terminal program? CTS/RTS should be disabled when using a TTL UART.

It was on XON/XOFF and put it to None and it still don't work still a RedQuark One redquarkone login:_ so its the Rx FU@k IT... haaaaAAAAAHHHHH.
Can't afford to get another one,I was on the breadline getting this one,but it still works like it should, just can't get into linux. How about the Uboot Button and that. How are they updating it just by using a bin file,if someone could work that out then that would be interesting no need for a serial.

The only thing I can think of is that you have accidentally swapped Rx and GND. I've done that myself and the same thing happened, the boot log happily rolled across the screen, but nothing I typed was sent to the C64Mini.

A tip: I used a cd cable, the audio cable that goes from the PC motherboard to the CD rom drive. I tested it and it fine and fits like a glove.. so if you need a cable for yours look for one of them.

Can you sortout the RX and Tx,cause my Tx now has all of a sudden stop working,no text coming up in PuTTY and no led light cause it did light up when it was coming up in PuTTY..?
If It has happened then be careful when connecting it up.

Are you 100% sure you wired everything correctly? It looks different from mine... I only connected GND, Tx and Rx, nothing else.

The brown wire goes to ground, its connected to the GND hole bottom left and the Rx and TX are the same as your picture and it don't do anything now,its dead,I wondering if the Tx and Rx connected to 2 resistors,It would be stupid to have them connected to A20 without a resistor wouldn't it,if they accidentally connect to each other you could damage the A20 CPU..??
They could have resistor fuses..maybe,like in Nintendo DSI..

I don't think connecting Tx and Rx together would cause any damage as the input and output will both be within expected range. It's possible something else went wrong.

In my photo the wires are connected right,Red Rx to TX,White Tx to Rx,Black not connected,Brown Ground to Ground.
Yes thats what has happened,I had it round the wrong way the first time I wired it up cause the wiki said the ground was the top pin from top to bottom in the photo but that was the 3.3v pin cause the photo is upside down,he has corrected it now but it's too late the aerial don't work no more. But lucky it still works the way it should.Just can't connect it via serial cause it damaged. It was not my fault.just accident. That why when posting something on a wiki or forum, you need to check what you put up is right.
I know what happened, the photo he posted on the wiki was the right way round but the site turn it upside down.I download the photo and turn it the right way but as soon as I posted the photo,it turn it upside down, don't know why.

I know what happened, the photo he posted on the wiki was the right way round but the site turn it upside down.I download the photo and turn it the right way but as soon as I posted the photo,it turn it upside down, don't know why. That happens when photos are made with Mobile Phone or Tablet and the taking position is saved with it. So if You take a photo "upside down" sometimes the one opening it also gets it upside down depending what he is using to look at photo. Have that sometimes with Friends on Skype.. and before i knew what happened i always said.. "are you nuts.. why are u posting the photo upside down.. " If you use a device which can handle the photo-direction, then you will see it correct, but most PC-Programs dont handle it that way. ... Funny Thing though
