So, I came across this video today:
Which is a review of a new mini C64 game console. It looks really cooll, and is a very creative idea, but what bothers me is the 256 games that are included on the console.
I know nothing about the developer of the device, but from the looks of it, he/she is independent. So how did they get licensing for so many top-selling Commodore 64 games? If they didn't get permission to sell these games with their device, I doin't think a project like this sheds a very good light on the retro gaming community or for legitimate products like TheC64.
In my opinion, downloading decades old games that are no longer being published and using them in the privacy of your own home is one thing. Selling them is something else altogether.
Am I being too critical, here?
