In anticipation of the upcoming release (except for North America) of TheC64, I've created a new section on my website for resources relating to the two systems. In particular, I've been making an effort to find useful software, besides games, that take advantage of TheC64's working keyboard. Of course, you can use this software on TheC64Mini as well, you just need to have a USB keyboard plugged into it. I haven't included any kind of word processor, just because I don't see much value in doing this sort of thing on TheC64 because there's no way to output your work. But I have listed a couple of spreadsheets and database apps because I still find these useful, without having to output anything. I have also included a few of my favorite Multi-disk games and games with pre-configured CJM files. At this point, I'm going on the assumption that TheC64 will have the same disk operating system as TheC64Mini. I've tried contacting RetroGames to confirm this, but I have not received any reply. Anyway, the link to my blog and TheC64 resources page is here: www.my64.in.nf/doku.php?id=thec64 Hope someone finds it useful.

I've added a couple of new entries to my listings: "The Music Shop" and "Rescue on Fractalus" with in-game controls assigned to TheC64 joystick. Enjoy!

Mind if I make a package out of your CJMs for carousel injection and post them here? You're most welcome, and I don't mind if you use the CJM files at all. However, just to let you know, I was playing Rescue on Fractalus last night and noticed some oddities. Because I mapped the Right Fire button to "B", sometimes when I pressed the Left Fire button, the game would register that I pressed "B". I'm not sure if this was just an issue with my C64 joystick or not. But, if you happen to play it and notice this, please let me know. Also, the game froze up on me once in Level 4. It hasn't done this when I've played it in VICE or on my real C64. It only happened once to me on TheC64Mini so far, but take note. Enjoy!

I just received an e-mail, from Retro Games, with some information on how disk swapping will work on the full sized TheC64. Apparently, in carousel mode, it will work as TheC64Mini does. However, in "Classic" mode, it will allow you to swap disks "on the fly". This is fantastic news! So, I suppose I will continue to arrange my ZIP files, on my website, as I have been. This will allow for easy operation on TheC64Mini and it's carousel OS, as well as being compatible on TheC64. However, it sounds like it will be even easier to use multi-disk programs on TheC64 in "classic" mode.

Just by chance, I stumbled across a pretty fun chase/racer game, called Turbo Charge. I've never heard of it before, but was quite surprised at how fun and well done it is. I'm also surprised that it doesn't get more attention from the Commodore gaming community.
It performs quite well on TheC64Mini, so I've added it to the listing on my website. Unfortunately, it's coded for PAL systems, so I can't play it on my real C128, but them's the breaks.
Enjoy!

I've added SIDPlay64 to the list. Use this program to turn your C64Mini into a SID playing jukebox. There's a selection of SID files included on the disk image to get you started.

I've added Turbo the Tortoise to the list. In the CJM file for the game, I mapped TL to UP. This will allow you to either use the UP direction to jump or use the TL button. I've also mapped Y, N, and LEFT ARROW to the A, B, and C buttons to help make it easy to select your choices on the game's trainer menu.
