Hey everyone! Did any of you play the game Sizzler by Psytronik? I got it and it's a fun, cool step in the right direction. It almost reminds me of a NES game, which is a good thing. I know you can't shoot in the game and you just duck and jump and hang from platforms, but it's a neat game. It appears to be influenced by Thing on a Spring, which comes with the C64 Mini. There is even a reference to the game as the spring character is seen in the background in Sizzler. For me I feel as though the game is too difficult, but I'll keep practicing and use videos for tips on how top play. So far I can't make much progress without using the savestate function. I also think the games Bonkey Kong and Dog are cute and fun. Also, the homebrews of Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. are very impressive. Organism also looks cool! I see the C64 Mini as in some ways better than NES and in some ways worse. What do you think?

Well, I'll admit that my opinion is absolutely biased, but I much prefer my C64 and C64Mini to anything Nintendo produced. I just enjoy the extremely large and diverse catalog of the games and programs available for the C64 over what is available for other gaming consoles. On top of all of this, the Commodore provides a completely open canvas for software developers to create just about anything for it. I'm looking forward to the release of the full sized TheC64.
I haven't play Sizzler, but my most resent favorite game from Psytronik is Steel Ranger.
