Hi folks, just looking for some suggestions for the new era of C64 games. I've already got L'abbaye Des Morts, Sam's Journey and Legend of Atlantis. I'm down for pretty much all genres.
Also, Space Moguls looks interesting... worth it for a solo player?

- Let's Invade 1 and now 2 (although I prefer the first one just slightly)
- Trance Sector Ultimate
- Steel Ranger
- The Bear Essentials
- Bruce Lee Return of Fury
- Sydney Hunter and the Sacred Tribe
Just a few of my favorite recent releases.

Nice. Thanks for the suggestions. I had no idea Bruce Lee got a continuation. That's shot to the top of the shopping list.

I haven't tried the game myself, but I hear good things about the new release NeutronI'm not sure if you'd consider it a shmup, but I really enjoy Rocket Smash Ex. My favorite racer on the C64 is Power Drift.

By the way Neutron is a good shmup too.. and powerdrift is nothing but the ancestor of the genuine OUTRUN by Sega!

If you like point-and-click sort of adventure games (like Monkey Island - on the PC, or Maniac Mansion - on the C64), check out Awakening. It's not a long game, but it is a few hours of puzzle solving fun with an interesting enough plot. If you get stuck, I wrote a game walk-through and posted it on my Commodore blog, here.

thanks, i'll check it soon, an I LOVE point-and-click adventure games!! all classics like borrowed time or the tracer sanction on C64 have an undescriptible vintage-nostalgic appeal we dont find anymore. Was a big fan of Sierra's games(quests, leisure suit larry...) on PC and apple II.. By the way these games were often very tough as the puzzles were somtimes not far from sickness to solve!! so much fun and memories!

For me, Awakening was perfect; it wasn't too complicated to figure out and not long and dragged out.
