Hi guys! First time posting here, Thought I'd ask you all here, rather than on the Lemon64 forum.
I just got my C64mini for xmas, and only had it on a few times, however, I noticed yesterday that the screen flickers occasionally when on the main carousel screen, where the screen will go black for 1 second, and the music cuts out during that time, then both music on screen comes back on again. Now, I thought it might have been a loose or broken cable somewhere, but I checked all these, but they were all good. Then I thought something was interfering with the tv, so everything else was unplugged, switched off, reset, and turned back on again, but still the same issue. I then remember there being an update for thec64mini, so this has all now been updated to the latest version. Unfortunately the flicker issue still persists. The weird thing i then came to realize, is that this issue only happens when on the carousel page. When playing games, there are no issues whatsoever! Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix it at all?

I also noticed that the Mini needs to be connected directly to the TV's HDMI input, it doesn't work through any of my HDMI-switches.

Yep, I recall my mini behaving this way when I took it to my mum's place and used an underpowered power supply. Bringing it back home to my better power supply, all was fine again.

Ah, this explains the blackouts I get when I am in FEL mode (C64Mini then powered via my PC USB port) versus having it downstairs on my TV with a proper power supply. I am relieved that this only results in short black screens. If the machine would shut down this way while writing to the NAND there could be trouble!

Yeah, that might be connected to the erratic HDMI-CEC behaviour of the current firmware. You might want to try one of the CEC blocking adapters (see thread about CEC).

I use a powered USB hub for FEL mode, just to be sure.

Thanks for the advice guys! I can confirm that the power supply I use is a 5V 2A and HDMI is plugged directly to tv, so not sure how this is still happening?
