I tried to install update 1.2.0 and now I'm left with a paper weight.
The update took longer than any other update to install, but the C64 Mini never restarted. Is there any way to reset it without access to the system options. I bought this C64 Mini a few weeks after the European launch. I've installed all the previous firmware updates and never had any problems.
Thanks for any help guys.

Did you do any mods or only firmware updates?

You might have to contact Retro Games support, here. I read through the manual, but to do a factory "reset" you need to at least be able to boot up the C64Mini and select "RESET". There's nothing I could find about "unbricking" after an unsuccessful upgrade.

My C64 Mini wasn’t modded. When updating the black screen with the usb stick and C64 mini appeared. It took much longer than before for the installation bar to fill up. Unfortunately the C64 Mini didn’t reboot after that. I waited at least 15 minutes while the screen was blank for it to boot up but no luck. The Mini was powered up but nothing was on screen. Then I tried with another tv and no luck either.
I purchased it last April according to the receipt. I’ll bring it back to Argos and hopefully get a replacement.
Again, thanks for helping out guys.

Tough luck. If Argos doesn't want to replace it then contacting Retro Games is good idea. They should/might have some tools to restore it if the hardware is still OK. Otherwise report back and maybe we can figure something out.

Does the red light come on,the only way I can think of is using the FEL Hack and restoring Nandb with a image of it,I have one if you want mine, its from my first C64 Mini that I pre ordered, but I don't know what command you would type to copy over nandb,it has the last update on it too.
