Hi Everyone, I just posted a 5 part video series which takes a short look at 4 different Pascal compilers available for Commodore 64 systems. I demonstrate running the compiler suites on a C64 Mini system. The example code isn't anything fancy, as I only wanted to test the core usability and provide a brief overview of each tool. - Part 1: Kyan Pascal
- Part 2: G-Pascal
- Part 3: Pascal64
- Part 4: Super Pascal
- Part 5: Conclusion & Thoughts
Retro Axis: Testing Pascal Compilers for Commodore 64Enjoy, and happy coding!

sharkos , great stuff you done! I have to warn you about 8-bit guy, he made false accusations of lags at Mini. He admitted at fb mini group that 1) he didn't update firmware, 2) he didn't set his TV to "game play". Beside, he has a TV set that is not quite compatible with Mini. So, his measures of "0.3 sec" lag at Mini are rare case, not the rule - but he won't admit it. Sad. Your Pascal videos are great. If you dare, you can make same thing with FORTH - there are few versions of it, DurexFORTH seems to be really fast and advanced one (fb page here). I am newbie there, still learning it, using old good 64 FORTH. Manual is needed, of course, and this free book is a must for beginners like me: www.forth.com/starting-forth/Keep on with good work!

G-Pascal seems to be the only Pascal that will run on the Mini. It is a pity the G-Pascal manual does not have more detail. The PDF copies of the newsletters have some information.
