I just wanted to know cos its lower then 720p isn't it,so when you upscale the picture you can see more blocks in the picture thats why you need filters.
And the old CRT TVs have a lower resolution,and thats why its not a good idea using old computers and consoles from the 80s and 90s on a HDTV.

Found out what it is, the resolution is 320*200 pixels/16 colors. So on a HDTV you would have to get its res down 200p wow... 720p is like about 6x the size of the C64 screen.This is why you need to use a CRT and composite to blur out the edges.CRT screen is not clear, its abit blury so you don't see them and thats why it looks different on a HDTV,if you could just low the res on a HDTV it would make the screen look abit better.

320x200 is without the borders... the real resolution is PAL/NTSC, except progressive, so ~380x272 for PAL
