I've just discovered that if you take a Vice 2.4 .vsf file and rename it .d64 or .d81 (depending on it's size - If it's larger than 100k, go for the .d81) the Mini's File Loader will show the file in the loader and actually run the snapshot.
This could be useful if you have a ton of Vice 2.4 snapshots that you want to use but don't have the originals, or you want snapshots that skip long intros or want to skip trainers for a more 'pure' experience.
If you load the file in Dirmaster, it appears corrupted but maintains a disk structure so you likely won't be able to do much with it, but some enterprising young hacker might feel like fiddling and see what else they can do with it.
Just a heads up!

It would do,by you naming it .d64 or .d81 you telling Vice what drive to use to boot it with, all the games work like a snapshot, that how it loads a game.. Its see it as a snapshot not a disk. Because it's the command line version of Vice and the UI is like Vice's GUI... :)It almost the same as the UI on the Armiga but that UI has more features like swap disk and so on, They were planning to release TheC64 MIni without USB load disk support until they realized they had to added it cause of the US release..anyway..

This is more a way to get around the file loader limitation not displaying .vsfs. I'm also not sure if Vice has an impact on whether or not it is expecting an actual .d64 or .d81 image when it's running when it loads it up. I can run .vsfs directly in Vice in Windows of course, but there's no other way to trigger it on the Mini, so this 'tricks' the File Loader into displaying it so The64 will load it.
*Edit* On the other hand, probably the reason they don't let vsfs get displayed by default is probably because vsf files differ between versions of Vice and it was easier to just block them out. But as long as you -know- it's from Vice 2.4, or if you can make your own vsf for Vice, you're golden.

This will of course, not work anymore if they update Vice.
