Included in this archive are 64 (Plus Basic and TheC64 Hall of Fame) of what I consider to be definitive games for the C64. Either they showcase off the best music, graphics, gameplay or are simply just games we would often spend many hours playing. This archive is intended to completely replace everything in your /usr/share/thec64/games folder.
This archive contains fixed Boxart, Screen Shots, as well as the game archives.
You will need to make sure you perform the readwrite mod first or some of these games will not work properly, specifically the SSI games that need to read/write to their .d81 files.

Don't compress any of the .d81 images, or try to turn them into .vsfs or they will not work correctly. With this collection, if you rm -rf your entire /usr/share/thec64/games folder and then put these in there instead, you will be left with about 25MB of space left out of approximately 50MB. I've already tried to compress these as much as possible and turn as many into vsf snapshots, but some are simply compressed .d64 images for reasons as well. This represents about a week's worth of work, and each game has been tested for a few minutes to ensure they load and run. I hope you enjoy!

Any of the files contained in a .d81 will open and run fine in VICE, you may have to make sure you set your drive to run in 1581 mode.
