What do you use in your TheC64 Mini...?
I use a sd card and reader and I use the same sd card for my UK1541 so if I want to play a game on my C64 then I can take it from TheC64 Mini and put into the UK1541 and it reads it,so it's a good Idea to use a sd card then its compatible with the C64 too..
I do have a USB stick as well and that works fine in TheC64 Mini too but can't use it in my C64 as well but I do use it in my Gotek in my A1200..

For formating the USB stick or sd card,you can use Mini Tools Partition Wizard,I use it all the time and its brillant.You don't need to pay for it or get the pro version,all the formating stuff in it is free..
