Dou you want a basic edition for THEC64 machines ? it contains vice mode and nothing more only for THEC64 family i will remove support for modes too so you only can load the vice config menu insted of mode changer Please do not try update it with the wrong one only use basic edition updates for it Gr Wizart  place it in here better i think PCUAE basic edition update v4.4.1.111 - Update: - Go back to mode changer text changed to go back to vice config menu

- Fix: – Fixed issue with Keyslectors
- Update: – Added splash screens so its more clear what the keys/buttons do in vice mode

Today it was too hot upstairs, but just grabbed a usb stick and started installing the basic. It's been busy for a while, so tomorrow morning I'll test it
Edit:
I am currently playing with the Basic Edition.
I like what I have seen so far, it works well.
My usb is a slow one, so installing and loading takes a bit longer than normal. Tomorrow I will get a faster microsd card, that will work a lot faster. So far I have played about 20 games and it works perfectly, loading the carousel works well too. I am happy with this version, thank you. If I find an error you will hear about it.
(installed on my Orange pi btw)

Yes, this is a great idea because I rarely use the carousel and other modes. It's like Classic Mode except it has the settings/options of Vice.

I have it installed on a samsung bar plus now. It works a lot better now. I'll play with it again the next few days. I love this version, all c64 without any fuss |

I forgot to say but you can use when in vice mode on thejoystcick menu and left triangle to go back to PCUAE mode i will make update for this version today then i add image to shortcut key message so you know wht keys and THEJoystck do in vice mode have fun gr wizart see updates in first post |

I load this (v4.42) onto a USB stick to give it a try on The C64 (PAL) and after trying to use it for a while I've got to say it's most clunky, horrible thing I've ever tried. I loaded it up in preview mode, took photos of the two control screens that came up and when I tried to use it NOTHING worked. NONE of the keyboard controls worked, either holding down CTRL and pressing the relevant F key did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NONE of the joystick buttons did what they said they were supposed to, for example the Option buttons screen says pressing MENU and A together was supposed to boot into VICE mode, but all that did was change carosel menus! I was able to boot into VICE config mode one time with MENU and 4, and then chose the relevant option to go out of the config and back to carosel DID NOT WORK, it just kept rebooting the VICE config menu! Eventually I decided to select C128 mode, which it said it saved and then rebooted, but trying to get into VICE as I mentioned above with the MENU and A buttons just changed carosel options.
Pressing MENU and B together, instead of going to PCUAE mode like the optiosn screens says just reboots to system, as did pressing MENU and A while in classic mode.
Eventually I just gave up. Thank god there was a preview mode, because with such a broken, unworking system I'm not going to bother. |

if you want to use other then PCUAE mode (carousel) you must install it it won't work without autoboot gr Wizart Preview mode is only carousel mode and no more |

yes in settings menu or with tool you can unstall the script gr Wizart there is new version comming too of basic edition |
