Hi all, I have a couple of questions regarding the Logitech F710 wireless gamepad and accessing short cuts in PCUAE.
At the moment to access the carousel changer on my 64 mini, I have to use "The Joystick" attached as a second controller to use the shortcuts in PCUAE.
The F710 button mapping wont work to press menu + left fire etc. I would like to have an all in one controller solution.
So,
1. has anyone with the F710 controller got a fix for this?
2. is it possible to change the controller buttons for F710 within PCUAE (not for games, sorted there)?
Thanks

I don't have that controller so can't add shortcuts to it, I picked THEC64 Joystick because everyone has one so was easier to add the shortcuts just to that or THEGamepad because they came with the machine.
And the script would get kind of big and take longer to load if it had loads of different controllers in it, plus not all controllers use the same buttons.

As an alternative for other USB controllers that bypasses any potential compatibility issues without having to tweak the config text file, you could rip the control board out and replace it with one from a Mini or Maxi joystick. They sell the joysticks separately. The maxi version has micro switches versus pressure pads.
This won't help you, but for original Atari plug style joysticks some people wire an Atari plug socket to each contact point needed (left, right, up, down, fire) in the mini/maxi joystick so they can plug original ones into it and still use the stock controller as well as it's navigation buttons.
