i made Function - Key upgrade for PCUAe 3.5.0 and higher it updates the function keys. Have fun Gr Wizart  You can download it hereUpdates F Keys to in PCUAE Mode.
F1 – Load Gamelist Changer
F2 – Carousel Changer
F3 – PCUAE Settings menu (privious system menu)
F4 – Not Available
F5 – Mode Changer
F6 – Not Available
F7 – Restore PCUAE
F8 – Reload Carousel
Updates F Keys to in All Modes.
F1 – Load PCUAE Mode
F2 – Carousel Changer
F3 – PCUAE Settings menu (privious system menu)
F4 – Atari ST Menu
. – MSX/Col… Menu
. – Nintendo 64 Menu (n64 Mode Only on THEA500)
F5 – Mode Changer
F6 – Not Available
F7 – Restore PCUAE
F8 – Quick Reboot
How to use.
hold down the CTRL key/button and the option key/button and hold them for 2 seconds or until the screen goes black or gives you a message |

Hi Davy,
I installed and tried the f Key upgrade.
Unfortunately it does not seem to work.
CTRL+F5 goes to settings and tools the same as CTRL+F3
I cannot make f2, f4, f6 or f8 work with CTRL + SHIFT + f key
Trying f8 did an f7 restore. Does this remove the F key upgrade?

CTRL F7 Does do a reset so it works like first start Edit: it does not remove installed updates only resets settings |

Hi Davy,
This is working much better. Thank you.
Some observations.
1. Shifted keys
The shifted keys are a bit more hit and miss than the normal f keys.
I therefore suggest reversing f7 and f8 as follows
f7 reload same mode - quick fix
f8 Restore PCUAE - major task
This will reduce the chance of false selection of Restore which is annoying to have to go and change all the settings again.
2. The Option menu
This menu is only accessible through the System / Settings menu.
Add the Option menu to f4 to save a step so that
f3 Settings
f4 Options
f5 Mode
3. Error on exiting PCUAE Boot Animation on Bootup in System Menu, it goes to the Mode menu
4. Error on Splash on/off on Options menu page 2 item 3 - it fails with rgl_splash.png file not found and Splash remains on boot
5. I see The Mode Changer Menu - PCUAE: Premium Version on Mode menu - not aware I have Premium
6. Ctrl+Restore - does not reboot Vice Mode - Black screen
7. Please Assign f6 to start Vice Mode without going to several menus - jump straight to default C64 or last Vice machine

ok i look into it i have on sugestion about f keys 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 you need to press first ctrl then best way use right shift and then the F key you can also run option menu from mode changer thats why is not in button slector or keyv slelector |

yes removed it from option menu because its in PCUAE settings menu and fixed |

Hi Davy,
it seems to be working well.
The most annoying thing is the lack of direct access to VICE.
Vice and Carousel are the two most used modes by me.
I would like to be able to jump straight from Carousel to Vice operation (I dont want to go through several menus)
Please could we use CTRL+f6 to launch Vice C64 or last Vice machine?
