When you say support for the Atari 2600 Plus, does that mean you can launch that front end on the C64 and A500 Maxi?

I installed 3.6 and the update.
I installed Vice mode and the update.
I added Favourites and first boot to carousel was fine.
Switch to Vice mode was fine, boot to Pet, CTRL+2 for Vic20 fine
Joy Menu + 3 to go to PCUAE mode went black screen. (Bug?)
CTRL+F1 carousel change to only favourites worked
Carousel came up fine this time.
I will try and recreate the issue later.

This seems more stable and a bit quicker. Return to Carousel from Vice Mode with Menu and Button 3 worked.
Observations
I went to the configuration menu, selected an option to remove animation and it returned me to the Mode selection menu.
I went to the options menu and selected item 10 to view page 2, it said something about USB and did not go to page 2.

Hi Davy,
I tested the new update. Menu page 2 is now working. Thanks.
New bugs
1. Go to Vice mode, select Pet, boot Pet, Switch to Vic20 with CTRL+2, Boot Vic- Try CTRL+f7 for option menu - I got a black screen, locked up
Did a 10s Power off, rebooted to Vice Vic20, tried CTRL+f5 mode menu loaded ok.
2. Go to Carousel, select CTRL+f7, change Boot screens to off - this returns to Mode menu not option menu
3. Go to option menu, go to page 2, select Toggle Splash - fails with error No file / Directory
New Suggestion / Request
Does anyone actually change Carousel much?
Why not remap CTRL+F3 to something more useful?
CTRL+F1 Game list - Good
CTRL+F2 Carousel Version moves here, logical as CTRL+F1 is Carousel Game List.
CTRL+F3 Settings Menu? more useful than Carousel version menu
CTRL+F4
CTRL+F5 Mode change - Good
CTRL+F6 Exit current Mode and Return to Carousel e.g. Leave Coleco or Vice mode and return to Carousel immediately with no menus, save time
CTRL+F7 Options Menu - Good
CTRL+F8 Restore to initial state

F2 - Carousel Changer F3 - Settings menu (privious system menu) F4 - Not Avaialble F5 - Mode Changer F6 - Not Available F7 - Restore PCUAE F8 - Reload Carousel this is what i came up with and when you are in a mode F1 - Load PCUAE Mode F2 - Carousel Changer F3 - Settings menu (privious system menu) F4 - Atari ST Menu MSX/Col... Menu Nintendo 64 Menu F5 - Mode Changer F6 - Not Available F7 - Restore PCUAE F8 - Reload Mode

The reason for my request was mostly to get to the Gamelist F1, Settings F3, Modes F5, and Options F7 quickly. I was not thinking about being in a mode and functions for that but exit to Carousel on F1 when in Vice or elsewhere makes sense to me.

Hi Davy,
I installed and tried the f Key upgrade.
Unfortunately it does not seem to work.
CTRL+F5 goes to settings and tools the same as CTRL+F3
I cannot make f2, f4, f6 or f8 work with CTRL + SHIFT + f key
Trying f8 did an f7 restore. Does this remove the F key upgrade?

Just an idea. Just like a multi boot mod for a PC or raspberry pi to launch windows, Linux, or other operating systems or frontends, emulators, etc, how about the option to turn on and off a multi boot prompt at boot up of the mini or maxi to boot directly into such things? It would come in handy for people who are in a mood to explore different things without the need to wait for the mini or maxi front end to launch and then go to the options to explore other things? Then when they settle on what they want to use for a while they can turn off the multi boot prompt option and have it just boot into whatever they're spending their time on at the moment.

PCUAE does this with Vice mode at the moment so you can reboot with no popups or logos straight to the old machine.
You can jump back to Carousel with CTRL+F1 for a bit of gaming and now back to Vice with CTRL+F6.
Carousel and Vice modes stay in state at reboot.
I suppose the other modes could be made to latch but it could cause some users an issue.

You could boot to last (latched) state like Vice with no splash etc. unless e.g. Restore was held during power on and this took you to Mode Select menu.
Or boot to any latched state and press CTRL+F5 for Mode menu as we do now.
How difficult is it to latch PCUAE into one of the other modes so it acts like VICE mode and comes back with reboot?
