Bil Herd was the principal engineer on the Commodore Plus/4, C16/116, C264, and the C364. But he's best known for being the principal engineer on the C128, so he's very familiar with the C64 side of things. Join in for a lively discussion with one of the most important figures in 1980's Commodore history.

I've seen him before talk about his Commodore portable computer with an LCD screen that was light years ahead of anything on the market in LCD displays. Commodore had bought a LCD screen manufacturer to advance the technology and produce a more affordable laptop computer. Unfortunately the higher ups dropped the project in favor of I think either the 128 or Plus 4. He has the prototype and I hope someday somebody clones it. It's a good looking machine. He has never turned it on over the years though to avoid any breakdowns that might cause. I hope somebody brings the subject up to him.
