Ok, I might be VERY late to the Party and my apology would be that I really used the Search function of the board to find out whether this was an earlier (and closed) discussion but could not find any.
I never really used the C64Mini until this morning after the upgrade. Tried a bit of Uridium some months ago and was very pleased that it had stutterfree Scrolling (something actually not that easy to achieve on Combian or other VICE distributions) and just waited for the USB filebrowser. (Info: I LIKE the browser and the clever "via filename" config Thing. I think that is a very very usuable solution for a GAMES CONSOLE. If they fix the crashes I would be happy...)
BUT - I first noticed on Zak McKracken that sounds seemed to be missing and then I fired up the included Version of Mega Apocalypse and yes, ALL samples are gone. Looks like for Performance reasons they switched off some parts of the Sound Emulation so that no samples can be heard. Now this I would consider a serious fault, especially as some games (like M.A.) really need that sound.
I can't say whether this is a bug in the 1.1 Version (with USB Browser) and samples worked on earlier versions. Or if I somehow have a configuration where Sound is not played back correctly (i.e. my fault).
But if anybody could confirm that behaviour (no samples in 1.1) I would stop worrying about my Setup. And if those samples also never played back in earlier builds, well, it is back to Combian again, hopeing that 3.0 Shows up soon and I can get the damn screen scaling Right one day (because THAT works very very well on the C64Mini). And then: A20 out, Pi3b+ in...
