The new firmware is offered. But I spend much time in Modding my C64 Mini.
So what would be the influence of my modding? Any experiences?

After updating I now have problems to connect via UART - maybe it was my fault, I try it again.

I have not been able to update it because for some reason I have been unable to get the TV to show anything other than a black screen. This exact same setup worked a few months ago.

I had a quick test of my UART tonight, and I can confirm it still works fine even after the update, I can still log in as root.

hmmm, I keep getting "no firmware update found" I am currently on 1.0.8, but hacked the hell out of it so that it boots from a fat32 usb device (although it will boot normally without it).
[edit] A few resets and un-replugs got it working, must have been a bad usb connection or something.
But dammit, my joystick doesn't work, I guess they overwritten the definitions file.

Hmm, yup, I followed jj's steps to do the mod via the usb stick too. Not sure why your newer firmware isn't getting detected :-(

My Profilic driver was updated under win10 automatically to the current 2018 driver, but this one doesn't work. I installed the driver from 2008 again - now everything works fine. |
