Never had an real REU back in the 1980's, I have one now, but haven't used much. I know not much software was used on the REU, but I was curious, if an REU flag is set on a software or a cartridge, would the memory work in the REU on TheC64 in classic mode. Or it just doesn't have any effect on the program. I mainly use programs like C64 Macro Assembly Development System, Simons Basic cartridge, Mikro Assembler cartridge, and Final Cartridge III, Merlin64. Take care.

After watching Robin at 8bit Show and Tell, an video about the Update 1.5.1. Using the SSv5.22, TMP+REU and a program "Marz" that he wrote 20 years ago, I believe. He said you had to have both the TMP+REU and Marz flagged with "_r5" to work. This give me the ideal to experiment. So TheC64 can support one cartridge "SSv5.22", and two disks. It worked like a charm. Was able to look at the disk directory "TheC64-drive8", load TMO and any file file you save. It also works with out SSv5.22, say you want to use C64 Macro Development System (I have Pro-Line "Power64" files installed on this disk image) and a blank disk(TheC64-drive8". Using the Comal v2.01 cartridge (image), FC-III or Mikro Assembler worked OK with "TheC64-Drive8.d64" file as is. I didn't see anyway to attach a text file that I wrote for the TheC64 (a Standard or 'Software' Operating Procedure). Take care.
