Recognize the music.. Hope this cheers you all up Merry Christmas too.. Music sounds familiar, but Sam/Reciter (Say It) sounds better at C64 - Mini! Mery Christmas to you too! p.s. vote here if you didn't, do your duty!

no i didnt. perhaps you should try to just write nothing if you have nothing to add. the technical facts have exactly zero to do with what one prefers and what not.

EDIT: - Just noticed JJ made a more detailed edit on his reply on this topic in this thread. Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was any way to drop my own vicerc file on the c64 mini/maxi. My hope was to try get some extra user-port joysticks working for 3 or 4 player games by adding these settings:
ExtraJoy=1 ExtraJoyType=0
I tried guessing various locations for the file ( /root/.vice/vicerc, /vicerc), but didn't have any luck.
I tried looking at the source shared on github, but didn't find too many clues there.
- I saw the file ought to get loaded by the call to resources_load()
- I see that get called from within main.c (which I don't think the64 uses), and from the various os-specific UI's (which I don't think the64 uses either)
So, is all hope lost of loading a vicerc file? Or anyone know of any other possibilities worth trying?

Hi All, hope this isn't off-topic, wanted to ask if anyone has done a mod to where a mini boots straight into vice, particularly xvic for a vic 20. I'd like to dedicate a mini64 to just be a vic 20, without having to fake firmware update to start the vic emulator. Thanks

No one has yet but I guess I could add that option to PCUAE but you have to wait a while for me to add it, talking a break from updating it at the moment, it will probably be added to version 1.4.4, if your interested. Would anyone else like it to be added to PCUAE too..? VICE is already in PCUAE, in PCUAE v1.4.4, you be able to start 4 of the VICE emulators(most popular ones) with Shortcut keys(HOLD CTRL and keys 1 to 4 DOWN) CTRL-1 for C64, CTRL-2 for VIC-20, CTRL-3 for C128 and CTRL-4 for Plus4. I just finished added that yesterday..

That would be great. I really like the work you've done to PCUAE, really simple for people to dramatically expand the use of their hardware. I just wanted to make a mini-vic and either re-painting or (gulp) printing a new case in off-white.
