Hello, I think PCUAE is a great tool, which I installed and run several times without issues. However, recently I installed PCUAE 1.9.1B4 on my pen drive through PCUAE Manager and I'm having the following issues. I've also tried installing an older version of PCUAE, but nothing changed. I have been struggling for a number of hours to find a solution. Now I am wondering if someone could suggest me the best way forward as I have no clue what I can do. 1. I Formatted the pen drive with Rufos as explained on this link except to the cluster size as the default is 16 kilobytes: 2 . I tried formatting the pen drive and run the fake update with PCUAE 1.9.1B4 for several times on 2 pen drives 3. After that I run the fake update for the first time, I could hear both the carousel music from the Retro Games and the new music at the same time, but when I rebooted the C64 I could hear only the new background music. 4. The menu is still the same no games added, If I'm not wrong more games should be added. 5. I can access the menu with function keys 6. Although I did not add any game, when I press Control and F1 the game list menu appears with empty black boxes, and when I boot my C64 I get a black screen. To solve this issue I had to reformat and Install PCUAE 1.9.1B4 on my pen drive from the beginning. 7. I did a factory reset before running a fake update. 8. As you can see on the link hereunder, on the menu I clicked on check PCUAE pen drive and it gave me the message that my pen drive does not contain a valid partition table, If this is the problem how can I solve it? postimg.cc/gwJv61VT

On point 8,the message about not containing partition tables refers to /dev/nanda and /dev/nandb, it shows that the USB stick (/dev/sda) has a valid partition table.

Although my C64 Maxi works fine with the latest official firmware 1.6.1. I'm using Verbatim and Intenso USB pendrives, which worked fine with an older PCUAE. Could it be that I bricked it?

If you still get something on the screen (e.g. PCUEA menu) then it isn't bricked. But spannernick should be able to help more.

I forget I added the scan the drive to the PCUAE Menu, all it does is scan the drive and nothing else, I could not work out how get it to fix the USB Stick if it needed too, instead of having to put it into a PC and scan it that way.
I have just removed it.
For PCUAE Mode to work it needs the favorites 1 folder added to /Carousel_Games/Games/ folder, if it does not see it and the games in it, it will boot into the Firmware Carousel and you will only see the games from the firmware, and it will not boot into PCUAE Mode.

So by default the new PCUAE 1.9.1B4 has no C64 games.

So by default the new PCUAE 1.9.1B4 has no C64 games. You need the favorites 1 folder otherwise it will boot into Firmware Mode not PCUAE Mode, you get the favorites folder from PCUAE Manager, where the games are stored, Plug in USB Stick in PC then start PCUAE Manager and click on, File>Export>Export to Carousel, then select Favorites 1 and if you want other carousel gamelists aswel hold down CTRL key and then Left click the mouse button on them, then click on the arrow in the middle to see them move to the right box, once you done that check to see if it can see your USB Stick with PCUAE on, its below the left box, it says on it `Select target folder to export to` if it has the same drive letter as your USB Stick then it ok, it automatically finds it for you. Now Click on Export Button and it will export the gamelists to your USB Stick, now wait for it to finish and then eject your USB Stick after its finished and put it back in the machine and PCUAE Mode should load now. Just incase anyone needs it, PCUAE logs its start up now....

Thank you so much Spannernick I'll try your suggestions. After installing the PCUAE I did not install the games as I thought that it was referring to install my games not the games from PCUAE manager.
