Would anyone consider posting a video of these new carousels in use? It'd be nice to see it in action.

The last carousel is finished now, I updated the first post with a zip containing all carousels, and also one zip for use in the file loader if you just want the games. Hi lantzelot, I have just found out today, that the OneLoad64 collection actually contains more games then the "main" 1534 ones. There are actually more in the "Extras" folder. Any chance these might be added as well? More than the carousels themselves, since for me PCUAE is kind of buggy and not that convenient, I care more of having the .cjm files like you so nicely made for all the main games in the FileLoader zip file. Cheers!

Sorry to hijack the thread but it reminded me of something. Has anybody compiled the GameBase C64 or Amiga compilation for Project Carousel? For anybody that doesn't know, this is a PC based compilation project that tries to document every piece of software (not just games), documents, box art, etc, for all Commodore computers to preserve it for historical reasons. The software frontend is unfortunately outdated but they continue to this day to try to incorporate every single scrap of data for such historical purposes.

The software frontend is unfortunately outdated but they continue to this day to try to incorporate every single scrap of data for such historical purposes. In the PCUAE Manager I added a feature to import games from the gamebase db. If you have the gamebase collection on your computer you can import all games and create views in any way you like. Since the gb collection contains 29000 entries and the C64 has a limit of 255 files in each folder (or carousel) you need to organize it in some way. One possibility is to use the genres in gamebase to create different views in the PCUAEManager. There is an option to import the games based on genre. Here is a screenshot of the import options in PCUAE manager: Most of the data (title, author, composer, genre, joystick port, screenshots and cover if available) are imported, but there are no descriptions for the games available. Adding descriptions for all games would be a major task. I mostly use the file loader for loading games since that is quicker and easier than switching carousels in PCUAE. You can export the games from the PCUAE manager to file loader, so that a cjm file is created for each game with the right joystick config.

Really nice work! Many thanks for your continued efforts to provide a nicely integrated version of OneLoad64 for The C64 community. I'm still hoping someone will post a video of it in action at some point, as I don't personally own the device, but we'll see...

I created a video of it in action. Perhaps not the most professional video capture, and no sound, but you'll get an idea of what it looks like Thanks StatMat for your hard work on this collection, it's really nice to start the games instantly. TheC64 showcase

Many thanks for creating the video, it really helps to showcase the excellent work you've done. It's fantastic to see the collection being put to such good use. I'll be sure to keep promoting this to any The C64 users I speak to.
