OneLoad64 v5 (2024-01-13):The OneLoad64 Games Collection is a really nice collection of over 2100 single load games in MagicDesk CRT format which load super quick without any crack intros. I thought that this collection would fit perfectly in PCUAE, so I decided to divide it up in 10 carousels and use the PCUAE game manager to collect all game info for them. I divided the games alphabetically in the following way: 0-Bn - 221 games Bo-C - 220 games D-Fo - 222 games Fr-I - 253 games J-Mi - 248 games Mo-Po - 237 games MultiLoad - 148 games Pr-Si - 239 games Sj-Td - 252 games Te-Z - 252 games Total: 2292 games You can download them here. There are two files: OneLoadCollection5_Carousels.zip containing folders that you can unzip directly in the "PCUAE USB Drive://THEC64-CAROUSEL-GAMES/" folder in PCUAE. If you just like to run the games using the File loader without PCUAE you can download OneLoadCollection5_FileLoader.zip and unzip directly to a USB stick. The games have individual CJM files with the right joystick settings. Enjoy!

So are you saying that it has loader screens removed so you don't have to press any keys for trainers and so on? If so that will be of big help to C64 mini users without needing to use the virtual keyboard or plug one in to get passed such things.
Question about CRT files. Are those limited to the standard 16K limit of cartridges or does the vice emulator or magic desk allow them to load in quickly like a cartridge but can be larger files like they were loaded off tape or disk?
When the mini first came out Freeze64 (think that was the name) website had compilations of games for the mini that would show up as a front end loader C64 program. Not sure if they still have those compilations up on their site. Wasn't that using a compilation of CRT programs as well as EasyFlash CRT files of some sort? I'd like to know more about how that worked because it was an actual C64 program but with many games per compilation disk. I assume that was either a front end for easy flash or for SD2IEC storage devices or something else like that?

Hi, The OneLoad64 Games Collection is a really nice collection of 1500 single load games in MagicDesk CRT format which load super quick without any intros and such. I thought that this collection would fit perfectly in PCUAE, so I decided to divide it up in 7 carousels and use the PCUAE game manager to collect all game info for them. I will continue to add the rest of the games and update the download link when ready. You can unzip the carousels directly in the "usb://Carousel_Games/Games" folder. You can also import them into the PCUAE Game Manager if you like. From there you can export them to File Loader if you don't want to use PCUAE and only have them on a USB stick. The games will have individual cjm files when exported with the right joystick settings. Enjoy! Great to see my collection being put to good use! Many thanks for working on this for this community. Maybe somebody can upload a video of it in use at some point.

I'd like to know more about how that worked because it was an actual C64 program but with many games per compilation disk. I assume that was either a front end for easy flash or for SD2IEC storage devices or something else like that? Just to clarify, I've created new CRTs and PRGs from dumps of original game media (which are included in the main collection download) wherever possible, rather than removing intros and such from scene releases, as this is quite rightly frowned upon. Where a loading screen or music are included with the original game, these are preserved with a simulated tape loader experience in the CRTs, with colour raster bars similar to the real thing. These are easily dismissed/skipped using any key or the fire button on either joystick, which then causes the game to start almost instantly. Where loading screens or music aren't present in the original game, the game just starts immediately. I felt this would produce a game collection which preserves the essence of the originals without having to navigate differing menus and options as is often seen with scene releases. With regards to the cartridge size, the smallest is 64kb to allow for the full memory of the C64 to be loaded into RAM very quickly, restoring it to exactly the same state when the tape or disk loader had completed. This is achieved by using 8kb banks offered by the Magic Desk format. Indeed, some games are actually larger than this when they include the loading screens and music as described above. The main collection also includes cartridge compilations in EasyFlash or Tapecart format, which have a menu similar to that you describe. But to be fair, it does not provide Magic Desk cartridge compilations, as I felt this would be a bit redundant, as the collection also provides crunched PRGs which can be used by emulators or hardware which do not support the CRTs such as the SD2IEC etc. Hopefully that clarifies things anyway. If you'd like to see how the files in the main collection are organised, you can download it in the description of the release video on YT.

Hi folks, thank you for this great work before all.
I am trying to get it running. This is what I have done so far:
- Installed PCUAE to a USB drive - Exported Favourites1 - Copied all the folders to the Carrousel Games / Games folder
When I start the C64 mini, after selecting the fake update I get the favourites 1 carousel, however, going into the changer I get the messages about the changer coming up, but then I get a black screen and nothing...
Also sometimes if I boot with the USB on, and it had autoboot (which I now removed) I will also get the original logo splash screen, then the PCUSE splash screen, and then music goes off and freezes...
What could be wrong?

Adding... Just tried again, the carrousel selector screen came up, I picked one and again went to black screen and just froze there... Was I supposed to do something else besides just dropping the folders?

Was I supposed to do something else besides just dropping the folders? No, nothing else should be needed... I haven't tried with the latest version of PCUAE, I currently run an older one... I can have a try with the latest one and see if I get the same problems.

I tried doing the whole process from scratch, and I even imported your folders into the manager and exported from there just in case, but no dice. Normal with autoboot I just get it to freeze on boot. Turning on the machine without the USB drive and adding it later and running PCUAE works to load the first carrousel (Favourites 1), but then doing the changer same thing as before, I pick one and then black screen freeze.

Played with oneloadcollection3 fileloader today. I've played quite a few games and everything worked until now What I also like is that there are no "cracks" in the games. At least of the games I've played, that's very nice. Simply with the standard The C64 and with a simple USB stick. What struck me most is that it actually plays well, and can quickly start your favorite game. Many thanks for your great work!!!

(except the A500 which shows the latest) FW Version 1.6.1 has nothing I need , also you don`t know what else is being added in the background A500 latest FW has .adf file support thats why that is on the latest FW.
