No, you need to plug the PCUAE USB Drive back into your PC, there is a folder called systeminfo on the PCUAE USB Drive, in there, there should be a log file, just attach it here, press the Add Attachments button on the top right to add it. its PCUAE boot log. Look... I need `pcuae-mode-thec64-boot-log.txt` file.

You might need to scan for a driver first before it works, it need to be able to see your usb network adapter in the modalias.txt so it can match the module to the adapter. You can go into Mode Changer and the go down to PCUAE Network Mode Settings thats option 12 and then get it to scan for a driver for you, just pick Driver Scanner Option 3 I think and that should fix it. If not then it might have a bug and I fix it tomorrow. Option 2 is to check if it has a IP Address, if you what to do that too.
You can delete the file manually its in:
For THEC64 Maxi and THEVIC20 Models
PCUAE USB Drive://.options/pcuae_network/Maxi/lib/modules/3.4.39/modalias.txt For THEC64 Mini models
PCUAE USB Drive://.options/pcuae_network/Mini/lib/modules/3.4.39/modalias.txt then run PCUAE and it should make the file again.

But then you also need to remove the modalias.txt file from the \.options\pcuae_network\Maxi\lib\modules\3.4.39 (or \.options\pcuae_network\Mini\lib\modules\3.4.39) folder otherwise the change won't be detected. Also, if you insert it in you Mini/Maxi when the Carousel is running, does it maybe show up as a USB drive? The thread here about an adapter with the same VID/PID seems to suggest it first show up as a USB drive with the Windows driver and only after install as a network device.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help and advice. but still nothing working. Through Vice mode, i can get into Striketerm 2014 but when you select dialer its either blank or crazy fonts etc or a few comands and <NO CARRIER>.
My gut feeling is the LAN USB is at fault. Its up to date - Version 1.7.0.0 dated 15/7/21. I tried the extra drivers links, but me (typical Scot person me, isnae paying for something that might no work!!!). I remeber the old days of Windows XP and you could roll back the device drivers via Device manager, but nope!!
Do you think the USB that is recommended for the Mini-Amiga, the TP-LINK UE300 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Universal Adapter from Currys could be an option?
I think I'll reload the Project Carousel AIO option and start from scratch.
Again thank you, but please keep me posted of any futher advances & helpful hints. Again, much appreciated.

BTW the C64 does not see the LAN Adapter as a USB Drive. The PC sees it as a CD Drive / SR9700 when plugged into the USB port.

Yes it has a built-in USB memory with it so you can install its drive on Windows This is the one that I have, it cost me about £5 on eBay, I bought it a while ago in 2018 when I got my THEC64 Mini. This works with the dm9601.ko module in THEC64 Mini and Maxi/THEVIC20, it called a Davicom DM9601 10/100 USB to Ethernet Adapter oemdrivers.com/usb-ethernet-10-100-lan-rj45Its looks like this and there is a few on ebay but do not know if there are generic so might be different but thats what mine looks like, I take a photo of it tomorrow so you can see it up close and its IC. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383575750207Yes if you get a TP-LINK UE300 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Universal Adapter from Currys it should work, it been tested on two of them with two different THEA500 Mini's while PCUAE was running. I did post a video of it working but forgot to post it here so here it is... Working in AmigaSYS4..
