Hello,
Is three a way to activate disk Drive sounds as I'm using accurate emulation all the time? If not then I think it would be good idea to add such function as it adds even more reality to the experience with this amazing hardware.
Thanks in advance for replies.

On original C64 hardware the Pi1541 offers both full drive compatibility of all Commodore drives for picky or copy protected software as well as drive sounds if you have the optional speaker on the PCB. The Ultimate 1541+ also offers this.
It would be real cool to see the Pi1541 software modified so it communicates to the mini, maxi, or a PC for that matter through a USB port rather than the serial disk drive port it comes with. The Pi1541 also does pretty much any of the things a real Commodore drive will do like load in jiffy dos or other fast loader software.
If you're looking for the full experience RetroRecipies did a video on his channel a year or so ago when he got the only 3.5" USB external disk drive still being made today sold be Amazon working with the mini and maxi. He even 3D printed a 1541 case for it.
There's also USB dongles that allow you to plug a 1541 into a PC and use it. I wonder if such dongles would work with the mini and maxi given their restricted USB (no wifi modems work, etc).
Quick question. When you launch vice for project carousel does it allow wifi modem use? If so I may try getting paddles working with my ICode dongle. I know at least on RetroPie paddles will work with the Stella Atari emulator because the creator of the ICode did a video on that. Not sure but think it also works on RetroPie with other emulators such as Mame and so on. I really should finally sit down and use the Icode and see what it does.
At this point I think I'm going to solder an Atari joystick port into the Mini's joystick so I can at least plug Atari joysticks into the mini and use them. That way I still have the extra navigation buttons on the stock joystick and full compatibility of directional movements and the fire button using a 2600 joystick.

Thanks you for reply but I'm asking if Drive sounds can be turned on by emulator within C64 Maxi. For example on Vice on Windows there is option to turn on disk drive sounds.
