I have a really nice image for a RPI2 & RPI3 that makes full use of the re-created ZX Spectrum keyboard and the C64 Joystick. The image contains around 1200 games and has been modified by me from the original that was re-leased by Simply Austin a few years ago. I have added more games updated the emulators and reconfigured the controls so it now works with the C64 joystick. The keyboard fully works and supports all the ZX characters that standard keyboards cannot emulate, this is a close to the real thing as you will get. If there's enough interest I will upload and post a link here

Nice. Is this still for the Pi or do you mean you redid it to work on the mini and maxi? The Spectrum was never big here in the states so many of us knew little about it, but these days I enjoy it's own unique flavor of graphics and gaming just like Atari or other platforms I didn't own back in the day. I'm amazed at how much ability to game people were able to get out of the Spectrum since Sinclair never intended it to be used for gaming.

This for the raspberry Pi 2 & 3 only as the OS is still on stretch so cant use anything newer unfortunately. Ingredients needed are Raspberry pi 2 or 3 The recreated ZX Spectrum (got mine of ebay for £15.00 brand new) C64 joystick 8gb Sd Card Can use classic mode or a type of carousel mode that has game wheels and screen shots ect.

Thanks, working now.. downloaded. Set the default emu to Retroarch ( if I didn't leave it set up that way ) for playing the games and the other two for programming as they fully support the recreated spectrum keyboard. to change joystick types such as interface 2 and kemspton use the joystick hotkeys to access retroarch's menu and change to the one you want from to use from there. There is a little read-me inside the zip file on how to make use of the keyboard modes and access all the characters . I had one as a kid and had completely forgotten how to use the spectrum keyboard.

Theres a big update coming for this image, it will now work on the PI3B+ and has ZX81 and ZX80 mode. Most games are now configured for the correct joystick interface and chuckie egg is also playable with the joystick. I will post a link when im finished and happy with it.
