Is there any way to disable the auto-power-on when power is applied to the USB? I have my C64 Mini attached to a TV USB port and I don't want it to boot up every time the TV is turned on. Maybe this could be a firmware option?

I sure hope so. It seems very odd to have a system switch off but not on.

When you switch off it does switch back on ...
Just keep the button pressed a few seconds

I have the same problem, if the C64 mini is off, say I am using another computer, shut the computer off and then I shutoff the power strip off. If I turn the power strip on say the next day, the C64 Mini starts up.

KenS ZX Spectrum Vega is the same, it auto switches on when power is first sent to it.
Easiest thing to do if your not using the C64 mini for a while is to bend down and pull the USB plug out or grab a power point with separate power on/off switches and flick them instead...
♿ For disabled users, you can buy power sockets that come with a remote control so you can switch each socket on/off individually. Not cheap but very handy! 👍

A USB power switch is the way to go.

There are USB cables you can buy, which have a off/on button built into the cable itself. They can be more easily found if you search Amazon or other online stores, for Raspberry Pi parts.
