I use Duck Duck Go on my phone as my browser because I hate big brother google and their communist politics and censorship. Duck Duck Go doesn't spy to make money off you and I guess it blocks ads too because I don't see any banners or ads.

For watching stuff on the "BigTube" I use NewPipe for the same reasons above. It blocks ads and you can even subscribe to channels without a BigTube account. The app also let's you play videos in a popup window or just the audio, and you can play the audio with the phone turned off to save battery power.

If you go to the FDroid app site, which pride themselves on being anti spying and is the most trusted android app site outside of the Google play store, you'll find tons of non spying apps such as Newpipe. Remember even notepad that comes with your phone is spying to sell your information to companies.

First download the FDroid app and then use it to download any apps you want to replace on your phone because that way it will auto update them. Far as Email goes use Proton mail. They also don't harvest your info.

I use Odysee these days for most of my video watching. It was only born about a year ago and is growing at an amazing rate. It's creators use Blockchain so big tech can't ban channels. They despise big tech censorship and that's what they launched it. The beauty is it will auto upload videos to your channel from TheBigTube if you upload content there, so it creates no extra work to be posting your videos on both sites.

Regardless of politics, everybody should be against the censorship and political influence of big tech. They're actually using your money to control you, withhold information, and sway elections for global interests.

You probably think I'm just some crazy conspiracy guy but no, I really didn't care about this stuff until about a year ago when I simply cracked a few jokes in the remarks under videos about things like China owning politicians and such.

They banned my long time BigTube account with no warning and I don't even post videos. I didn't make threats or use vulgar language, I just posted a few remarks making jokes or questioning the motivation of particular politicians. No warning. Just an email telling me my account I've had for years was banned. They use AI to sort through comments and if the right combination of key words is hit they not only delete your remark, but eventually they'll just ban you.

Tons of people have had the same thing happen to them an have migrated to Odysee. I tried BitChute abd Rumble but they lack the wider variety of non political content and features Odysee has.
